The 76ers think that Samuel Dalembert, who had a setback this preseason whilst recuperating from a stress fracture in his left ankle, will be ready for the October 31 opener in Toronto. In case he is not, the Sixers might rely more on Calvin Booth, who was signed as a free agent from Washington to be Dalembert's backup.

The Nuggets sent forward Reggie Evans and the draft rights to forward Ricky Sanchez to the Philadelphia 76ers Monday in exchange for swingman Steven Hunter and forward Bobby Jones. The Sixers were not finished, agreeing to terms with free agent Calvin Booth.
