With one month of the free agent period now in the books, agent Aaron Goodwin mentioned he thinks the Cavaliers are low-balling Delonte West. The Cavaliers signed fellow restricted free agent Daniel Gibson to a 5 year, $21 million contract.

The Cavaliers in the end made a move this offseason, signing sharpshooter Daniel Gibson to a 5 year contract Wednesday. Bringing back Gibson, a restricted free agent, was one of Cleveland's top priorities. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson had arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle Tuesday and expects to be ready for training camp. The 2nd year guard, a restricted free agent, had the operation in Houston, his hometown.

Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson will miss Game 6 of Cleveland's playoff against the Boston Celtics after separating his left shoulder during the 2nd half Wednesday night. Gibson, one of the Cavs' best perimeter shooters, left early in the 4th quarter following a collision and did not return.

There is no charm in this 3rd time around for Damon Jones. As Cavaliers coach Mike Brown has tightened his rotation for the playoffs, he has again decided to stop playing Jones. There is only enough room for 4 players at the guard positions, and Brown is going with Delonte West, Daniel Gibson, Devin Brown and Wally Szczerbiak.

Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson would miss 6 weeks with a severely sprained left ankle, the latest costly injury for the defending Eastern Conference champions. Gibson injured his ankle in the 2nd quarter of Wednesday night's triumph over Indiana when he and Pacers guard Travis Diener were diving in the lane for a loose ball.

An embarrassing, unforgivable loss was looming for the Cavaliers when LeBron James turned it on. And this time, his teammates did, as well. James scored 24 points, only 2 in the 4th quarter, and Daniel Gibson hit a dagger like 3 pointer with 12 seconds left as the Cavaliers avoided humiliation by triumphing over the short-handed Kings 97-93 Friday.

A super sub, Daniel Gibson was a starting dud. Gibson in the end replaced injured point guard Larry Hughes in the Cavaliers' starting lineup Tuesday night, then delivered a display as bad as any of those from the struggling Hughes.

Daniel Gibson was Cleveland's leading scorer in the last 2 games. That is not good enough to get him a spot in the starting lineup. Cavaliers coach Mike Brown mentioned after the Cavaliers' 85-76 loss to San Antonio in Game 1 of the NBA finals on Thursday night that he will not make a lineup change before Game 2.
