Still not even good enough to beat Watrriors though

If the thunder are 5th in the west, no chance of mvp. Look back and find the most recent mvp for a non-top 3 team.

If Westbrook is averaging or very close to a triple double with 25+ ppg, I think he's winning MVP.

If okc keep westbrook and make the playoffs he is winning that trophy.

Oladipo got to get paid more than that.

Oh really USA. So if the thunder make the playoffs as the 7 seed...he wins the MVP?

Listing of the past 30 mvps and their respective team seatings. The WORST, was 3rd seat, Michael Jordan in 1988(Malone doesn't count because he had tied for the best record). you don't win an mvp because of purely stats...its associated with the teams results. Thus, you are most valuable if your team is one of the best, not just oh, he was on the team and they made the playoffs or averaging inflated stats.

Perfect example. Two years ago, Westbrook averaged 28.1/8.6/7.3...tied for the 8th best record in the league and still came in 4th in MVP voting. And it wasnt even close.
