Realistic trade for the Knicks and melo and melo will agree.

Knicks and cavs.

Knicks trade Melo and rose

Cavs trade shumpert, Jr smith and thristan Thompson.

Knicks get three starters for two guys not in their future.

Cavs get lebrons friend in melo and a sg or back up pg in rose.

Cavs starting five
Irving
Korver
Lebron
Melo
Love

Rose
Jones
Jefferson
Frye
Anderson

Reasonable trade but I reckon the Cavs will want to keep Tristan, I could see that deal happening though, I think Knicks have to accept they not going to get any sort of value for Melo, they better trading him for expiring contracts

Thanks for the back up Tre lol don't know if it's enough for NY but I would do this but if it isn't enough offer rights to Cedi or a second round pick or McRae or Liggins if they want one of those two.

Cavs say no only because it leaves them threadbare at center.

Why not replace Thompson with Frye, sending a whole bunch of Ex Knicks home!

Shane

Thompson must be included to get this deal. They have Anderson as a back up center if needed so not a terrible back up. The cavs get melo and rose. Two legit piece that may. bridge the gap for the cavs to beat the warriors. Right now I truely don't think the cavs can do it with what they have.

Rite quick.

I think those kind of minor pieces are more of annoyance in this kind of trade. They can be added but don't bring any real value back to the Knicks. Knicks real gets in this deal are shumpert and Thompson. Young guys one semi- friendly deals. I like thompsons rebounding next to prozingus. And smith and shumpert can both shoot a bit so that should spread the floor.

Unfortunately Phil won't do a trade unless he gets back Love

If I was Cavs I would need O'Quinn so I have a center. Anderson is out for season so they'd have Frye and Love to play center and its neither's preferred position. I don't think Rose should be part of the deal (they can get a cheaper and easier to acquire backup pg elsewhere or in FA) . I don't really like Melo in that starting lineup I think he'd be more valuable as go to scorer off the bench and that way (if they get another center) Love can go back to pf where I think he would be more effective.

Overall don't like the trade for Cavs. They are giving up 3 best defenders. That starting lineup wouldn't have any interior defensive presence and Melo and Love are both horrible on defense.
