Now that Toronto has acquired Ibaka Boston needs to get a deal done with Dallas.

Boston gets- Bogut

Dallas gets- Zeller and Young.

Does bogut really help Boston? I feel like he misses a lot of games.

And plus, Bogut isn't exactly a great fit with either Horford, Olynyk, or Johnson. They're all slower who would have trouble guarding athletic stretch 4s.

I like the trade as its a pretty low risk move. The Celtics need a natural center. I think Horford is better suited at pf due to his lack of size/ length at 6ft10, poor rebounding and although he is a good defender he doesn't block shots and not a real "rim protector". Olynyk is more of a stretch big and Johnson is undersized and would be better suited as energy guy off the bench. Bogut would give the a rugged guy on the interior who can be a rim protector, rebounder and enforcer while providing great passing and valuable playoff experience. Neither Zeller nor Young are significant contributors for Celtics off the bench so I don't think there is any harm for them to do this trade. Although Bogut has a large salary he is an expiring contract so if it doesn't work out they can let him walk.

I mean I'm just not sure what Boston is trying to do. Win now, or build for future winning. I'm sure there is a way to do both, but IT is up for a huge raise soon and by the time any of these young guys (Brown, 2017 bkn, 2018 bkn) are ready to make a significant run towards a championship or even a finals appearance guys like Bradley will need to be re-upped and guys like IT and crowder will be passed thier prime.

With Cleveland sort of stumbling down the stretch here, there may be an opportunity this year. I just think they need to go one way or the other with this team. I'd prolly try to move bkn 17 for a star if possible.
