Knicks have 20 mil cap space, they should use that to clear to Noah.

Crabbe Howard
For
Noah Baker

Ntilikina/Mudiay/Burke
Hardaway/Lee/Dotson
Crabbe/Thomas/T.Williams
Porzingis/Knox/Kornet

I'd rather have crabbe than hardaway. Plays better defense.

How is this any good for the Nets? Howard and Baker are expiring deals, while both Noah’s and Crabbe’s deals have two years left, but Crabbe is a significantly better player.

Sure they save some cap space for this year, but they’re aiming to be a FA player next offseason when a bunch of deals come off the books. Unless Knicks add a sweetener, Nets don’t make this deal.

Obviously anybody who does not want this want knicks to fail. Brooklyn does it bc they save 22 mil in 2018 and another 3 mil 2019 while adding needed
needed def depth at center. Clearing Crabbe allows Dinwiddie Russell to start Lavert being opt off bench Lin as 2nd opt.

Knicks have the depth to make moves for expiring contracts and trade expiring contracts for picks and cap space. Either opt build towards future with young pieces. Hardaway for Mathews. Crabbe Lee for Melo. It does not matter, bc if they keep the roster they are a playoff team.

In 2019-2020 the Knicks should be a playoff team. With porzingis uncertainty I imagine this next season is another tanker unless porzingis is back in the field early.
