Terrible for Boston.

I see it completely different. Hayward has no value as he doesn't live up to his contract. So giving up Rozier, Williams and a late pick to get a good Center is great.

Boston could go all in this year and keep Hayward and Rozier, but this is a great deal in the long term for them.

They get a borderline all star center in Turner and a good back up in collison.
They can't pay Rozier next year (And J Brown) .
And Hayward is still good, but not good enough for his contract.

Boston would never do a deal like this, unless they knew that there was zero chance for a deal for AD.

JoeB: Why not? Couldn't they package Turner in a deal in the summer? Seems like Turner, Tatum, two firsts would be a perfect package for AD.

K. Irving is the starting PG for the east all stars likely. M. Tuner is equal value? Then trade M. Turner for D. Lillard bmiller66. I think Irving is a way more talented PG than Lillard as is. I'd rather have Irving than Oladipo! Miles Turner?

Where does Irving factor in? He's not in this trade. I'm confused.

I'm not even going to bite on the "Kyrie is way better than Lillard" ridiculous trolling (wait, I just did, darn it) .

I saw K. Walker assumed it was K. Irving bmiller66, I was wrong. I still wouldn't do it if I was the celtics, they're paying a lot in this.

Yeah, I don't love it for Boston. But I don't think it stops them from getting AD. If anything, getting a 22 year old that can match salary with is better than trying to include Hayward or Horford. It probably makes Boston's AD trade package better.

It all boils down to how Boston views Hayward. If they view him as an all star, this is bad for them. If they view him as a bad contract, it's good.

I put Turner with Porzingis. Just below Davis, players like this don't get rid of for overpaid hayward. Walker is not getting traded.

If Boston is looking to dump salary then this is a great deal.

Indy goes way over the luxury tax threshold.

Hornets go over as well, by 350k.

No way this deal could happen!
