Who says no first?

76ers send Joel Embiid

Timberwolves send KAT

It’s got to be the Wolves that say no due to Embiid injury concerns, right? But does that trump that Embiid is the better player right now? How much do you consider that the Wolves aren’t ready to compete for the West with the current roster and Embiid is more win now. What other move could the Wolves make to get more win now.

I think the 6ers would take the deal even if they knew Embiid was healthy just based on KAT’s fit with Simmons. But he’s having injury scares so to get the deal done you’d probably have to include another asset and could you really justify giving up an additional asset AND the better player. Also, you basically can’t keep Butler then, him and KAT are done. Too much to keep the deal from happening?

Um, no from Minnesota.

Plus, Embiid is quickly becoming one of the most hated players in the NBA.

Embiid may not last long, but at his best he is better KAT and wiggens combined. Neither will draw free agents. Ask butler he will tell you. Wolves fans should know having 1 of the best trash talkers in KG, he was still respected.

I would agree, pure talent Embiid is better. The injuries and attitude is what makes him questionable. Even with the attitude, if you could pencil him in for 70+ games each season, I take him over KAT.

That said, 64 games this season is Embiid’s high water mark, while KAT has missed five total games in four years.

Sixers say no. He’s repeatedly been referred to as the “Crown Jewel” of the franchise by the head coach and general manager. They’re not giving that up for a stay stuffer with no heart.
