The Bucks no longer have Yi Jianlian on their roster however they are heading to China in October to play 2 exhibition games. League sources confirm the Bucks and Golden State Warriors will play in the 2008 China Games, with games planned during the week of October 12 in Guangzhou and Beijing.

The legal battle between Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and former coach Don Nelson is in the end over. Nelson, now the Golden State Warriors' coach, won about $6.3 million Thursday in his arbitration case against Cuban in a ruling by retired judge Glen M. Ashworth.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban must immediately pay Don Nelson $6.3 million, an arbitrator ruled in settling a long running battle over the former Dallas coach's compensation package. Nelson, now the Golden State Warriors' coach, claimed the money was owed to him from his time with the Mavericks from 1997-2005.

The Warriors completed their mission of retaining their top 2 young players by reaching an agreement with Andris Biedrins on a 6 year, $63 million deal Sunday. The Warriors had signed Monta Ellis, 22, Thursday to a 6 year, $67 million deal, and now they have come to terms with Biedrins, 22, avoiding a negotiations competition with some European clubs that showed interest in the 6 foot 11 center. Biedrins flew to the Bay Area Sunday, as stated by his agent Bill Duffy, and plans to sign the contract today.

Kelenna Azubuike will return to the Golden State Warriors after the club matched the L.A Clippers' 3 year, $9 million contract offer for the shooting guard Thursday. Azubuike averaged 8.1 points and 4.0 rebounds in 81 games last season with the Warriors, who signed the former Kentucky guard out of the NBA Developmental League in January 2007.

Well traveled sharpshooter Matt Barnes signed a one year contract with the Suns Tuesday. The 6 foot 7 forward spent the last 2 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, averaging 8.5 points and 4.5 rebounds. His best season came in 2006-07, when he averaged 9.8 points and 4.6 rebounds, then had 11.1 points and 5.7 rebounds in 11 playoff games.

Free agent forward Matt Barnes will arrive in Phoenix Monday, expecting to sign a one year veteran's minimum deal with the Suns after completing a physical. Barnes, 28, spent the past 2 seasons in a mostly reserve position with the Golden State Warriors. He collected a career best 9.8 points and 4.6 rebounds in the 2006-07 season.
