In a 3 way trade with the Bulls and Cavaliers, the SuperSonics got only the expiring contracts of Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall and Adrian Griffin in a deal that raises questions after Seattle moved Kurt Thomas to the Spurs earlier this week.

The Cavaliers had every reason to fold. 4 of their top 7 scorers were sidelined by injuries. This was the 2nd of back to back road games. However, LeBron James stepped up as expected. Damon Jones hit 2 huge shots down the stretch. And journeyman Ira Newble had his best game of the season.

The season of frustration among Cavaliers players reportedly seeped onto the bench late in the 4th quarter during Tuesday's game at The Q against the Heat. Coach Mike Brown asked Damon Jones and Ira Newble to go into the game with less than a minute left and with the Cavaliers holding a commanding lead. It was mop up time.
