For 3 quarters, Bobby Jackson did nothing to make the New Orleans Hornets pay for trading him last February. Then he showed them exactly what they were missing in the 4th. John Salmons scored 29 points, and Jackson had all 8 of his points in the final 5:10 to help the injury-depleted Kings surprise the New Orleans Hornets 105-96 on Wednesday night.

Facing a 5th straight home loss, the injury plagued Kings responded by triumphing over the NBA's best road team. John Salmons scored 21 points and Brad Miller had 20 to help the Kings hold off the Orlando Magic, 104-100 Tuesday.

No Ron Artest, no Kevin Martin, no Mike Bibby. And somehow, no contest. John Salmons scored a career high 32 points and the Kings shook off more bad injury news Wednesday night to beat the New York Knicks 107-97, snapping a 4 game losing streak.

With New Jersey's defense collapsing on him in the closing seconds Tuesday night, Salmons drove the lane and kicked the ball out to teammate Francisco Garcia, who sank a 3 pointer with 15 seconds left that helped Sacramento beat the slumping Nets 106-101.

Facing an unfriendly road trip, the Kings felt an urgent need to depart Arco Arena with a win Monday night. It almost did not happen for the mostly lethargic Kings, who rallied in the 4th quarter behind John Salmons' 22 points for a 93-90 win over the slumping Bucks.

John Salmons will require a lot of quarters like the one he has in the 4th against Utah if the Kings will be able to survive the next month without leading scorer Kevin Martin. Salmons scored 13 straight points right after Martin went down with a strained right groin Tuesday night, fueling a 43 point 4th quarter that led the Kings to a 117-107 win over the Jazz.

The offensive minded Suns turned up their defense at the right time. Amare Stoudemire had 26 points and 13 rebounds, and the Suns held on for a 100-98 triumph over Kings Tuesday. Stoudemire scored the Suns' final 6 points and blocked a John Salmons 3 point attempt with a 2nd left, leading Phoenix to its 6th straight win.
