Guards Bob Sura and John Lucas III were among 4 players cut by the Houston Rockets Monday, the eve of their season opener. Forwards Jackie Butler and Justin Reed were also released as the team reduced its roster to 15 players.

Houston Rockets player Justin Reed was cleared of misdemeanor marijuana charges Tuesday because others submitted affidavits saying that the drugs, his attorney said. Reed was arrested on September 4th and charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, which carries a fine from $100 to $250.
