Kings guard Kevin Martin will miss at least a week after spraining his left ankle in a win over Golden State on Sunday night. Martin is the NBA's 11th leading scorer at 22.4 points per game. He had 27 points against the Warriors when he injured his ankle when he fouled on a drive. The Kings said Monday that Martin will be sidelined 7-10 days.

Even though it is far from capacity and the fans far from boisterous, Arco Arena remains a comfortable home for the Kings. Coming back from a winless trip to start the season, the Kings used Kevin Martin's 27 points to win their 3rd straight game on Sunday night, pulling away in the 2nd half to defeat the struggling Golden State Warriors 115-98.

Kevin Martin scored 29 points in less than 22 minutes for Sacramento, however rookie Eric Gordon scored 33 points and led the L.A Clippers' 4th-quarter rally for a 116-112 win over the Kings in an exhibition game Wednesday night.

A 3 pointer late in the 3rd quarter kept Quincy Douby in the game for Sacramento, and that turned out to be a good thing for the Kings. With Douby playing an unlikely 4th quarter position and Kevin Martin scoring 27 points, the Kings were able to pull away to beat Utah 117-104 Friday night, ending the Jazz's 10 game winning streak.

Kevin Martin stood with his hand in the air, teammates racing toward him to celebrate, after he joined Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady in adding to the SuperSonics' misery with some late game theatrics. The Sonics' record setting 14th straight loss, thanks to Martin, might be the most painful, and there is no end to the skid in sight.

With their 3 players in the starting lineup together for the 1st time, the Kings rolled to their most lopsided triumph in more than 2 years. Ron Artest scored 27 points, Kevin Martin added 19 and Mike Bibby scored all 15 of his points in the 1st half to lead the in the end healthy Kings to their season best 3rd straight win, 128-94 over the New Jersey Nets Tuesday.

Mike Bibby, Kevin Martin and Ron Artest were all playing together for the 1st time this season. The way Chris Bosh saw it, this was the perfect time to face the Kings. Bosh had 31 points and the Toronto Raptors spoiled Bibby's season debut, triumphing over the Kings 116-91 Wednesday.

After missing nearly 6 weeks with a groin injury, Kevin Martin still thinks he requires more time to get back up to speed. It is hard to imagine him playing much better than he did in his 2nd game back from the injury.

No Ron Artest, no Kevin Martin, no Mike Bibby. And somehow, no contest. John Salmons scored a career high 32 points and the Kings shook off more bad injury news Wednesday night to beat the New York Knicks 107-97, snapping a 4 game losing streak.

John Salmons will require a lot of quarters like the one he has in the 4th against Utah if the Kings will be able to survive the next month without leading scorer Kevin Martin. Salmons scored 13 straight points right after Martin went down with a strained right groin Tuesday night, fueling a 43 point 4th quarter that led the Kings to a 117-107 win over the Jazz.
