The Chicago Bulls were waiting for the results of a 2nd MRI on guard Larry Hughes' dislocated right shoulder but expect him to miss 2 to 4 weeks, less time than initially anticipated.

Larry Hughes' contract appears impossible to move. By turning down a 5 year, $50 million extension last summer, Ben Gordon, who must approve any sign and trade scenario, said to the NBA he would like $10 million annually, at least.

This time there is no 4th-quarter fade for the Chicago Bulls. Their 24 point cushion sliced to 9 by the New Jersey Jets early in the final period Tuesday night, the Bulls responded, even if they were a little worried it was about to happen again. "Somewhat", Chicago guard Larry Hughes mentioned after a 112-96 win.

Bulls interim coach Jim Boylan mentioned he's keeping Friday night's starting lineup to himself, however he and his assistants have discussed starting Drew Gooden for Tyrus Thomas all week. Whether Boylan makes another change and starts Larry Hughes in the backcourt is unknown.

The Bulls are 2 1/2 games out of the Eastern Conference playoff picture, making the final 26 games as much about next season as this one. Chris Duhon is an unrestricted free agent at season's end. Connect the dots as to why the 4th year guard has not played a 2nd in back to back games since Larry Hughes suited up, Duhon's 1st 2 "Did Not Play/Coach's Decision" designations this season.

Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden appear to be adapting to their new team only fine. Hughes had 29 points and Gooden added 10 points and 15 rebounds, helping the Chicago Bulls beat the Pacers 113-107 Wednesday. It was their 1st win since the duo was acquired from Cleveland on February 21 as part of a 3 team trade.
