Though Dwyane Wade suggested Mario Chalmers could be Miami's starting point guard as a rookie, the Heat is not close to assuming that will happen however will have given him a chance to compete against Marcus Banks and a probable veteran addition. Miami also expects Chris Quinn back.

A scout for a team in the Eastern Conference thinks Miami has a real dilemma on its hands if it drafts 1st, even though it is looking as if the Heat is point-guard challenged because Jason Williams is free agent material, Marcus Banks still has some proving to do, and Chris Quinn probably is best suited as a reserve.

The Suns must acquire a player within 2 weeks from the time the trade is completed, which cannot happen until Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks pass their physicals in Miami.
