No heartbreaking loss this time. No complaining about a referee's call. The Charlotte Bobcats in the end made the big plays down the stretch behind their budding star. Gerald Wallace continued his stellar season Monday night by scoring 40 points, and Matt Carroll hit 2 free throws with 4.6 seconds left in the Bobcats' 119-116 triumph over the Nuggets.

Guard Matt Carroll and the Charlotte Bobcats came to terms on a 6 year, $27 million contract. Agent Paul Nadel, a partner with Fegan and Associates, mentioned Wednesday that Carroll expects to sign the deal next week when he returns from a trip to China.
