Drummond is perfect for SVGs system he isn't trading him even for Cousins. Not worth the headache. Certainly not giving up a 1st also. Cousins is a better player than Drummond but I think Drummond has more trade value and inherit value to the Pistons and the way currently constructed (his youth helps too)

DEN gets a ton of cap flexibility for the next several years, two shooters for one and a mid-1st in this years draft to help the rebuild.
DET gets an upgrade at stretch 4 and a solid backup SG and veteran presence for playoff push.
NYK finally gets a starting PG.

Thx for the input. Way I see it Covington has an amazing contract, fits Stan's offense, gives them depth at a position of need and it's a late 1st in a shallow draft.

I think it's a good trade but I doubt either the teams would do this. Dinwiddie would be a good piece. But the pick would need to be conveyed this year! Booz without Covington we have no offense, but I. Smith.
If I was the Sixers n you made that pick top 8-10 protected, I would take the trade n suffer out the rest of the season. Go into the draft and select as follows:
PG I. Smith and draft Caris Levert (MIA and OKC pick)
SG N. Stauskas and Buddy Heild (Det pick)
SF R. Covington and draft B. Simmons (76ers pick)
PF J. Okafor and R. Holmes
C N. Noel and J. Embiid.

Ersan has non-guaranteed contract next year so not only does this get rid of the "issues" over there but they get cap space and at worst 2 2nds.
DET gets a talent upgrade at the stretch 4 at a very reasonable contract by 2016 standards.

Funny, I thought if I was going to get any objections it would be not enough from PHX side. They are comparable value this year with the drama but Markieff is certainly the better player in a normal situation. Even moreso going forward given the age difference. And it's the 2nd half of the first round, not talking lottery pick here.

Espn just wrote an article a couple hours ago, Melo is one of the 5 most overrated players in the nba. It's on the NBA home page, please check it out and learn something. But I'm the laughable one. Did you honestly bring up Dirk and Malone in comparison to Melo? Hahaha. Man, you are a homer. In your argument you are comparing him to 2 of the best to ever play.

ESPN insider is click bait, far from real analisys, few badly comprahended stats taken in vacuum.
As for durabiliry, he's playing his best season at soon to be 32, I think that says it (he played veteran ball till now, he is up for some pro play ;)
Just to be clear, I didn't like melo and the way he played, no effort, but he is playing much serious bball this season.

23. Read real east. You're a joke. The point was style of play not performance. You have an amazing way of reading only a portion of what is said. His style of play, post and jump shot, is durable as their game was. What part of that means that Melo is Malone? Seriously, learn to read. And stop counting those tabloid stories as fact. I also hear trump and Oprah had an alien baby. But maybe national enquirer was wrong there ;)
