Not sure Whiteside is significantly better than WCS to push the Kings to the playoffs, but that 1st rounder is enough to get my stamp of approval. (Hello Mr. Little or Mr. Hunter. Welcome to Sacramento after draft night)

Man, seems like Snell and Wilson get offered up in trades like they have some kind of value. they dont.

2.) 16 Jan 2019 20:05:31
@fred they're just salaries, bledsoe for dsj is the core and matthews is someone dallas wants to dump and can help the bucks.

3.) 16 Jan 2019 20:38:44
If you say so, I just keep seeing those two in trades for expiring contracts. Looks like an attempt at dumping their salaries when they don't bring much value.

Dallas would be better keeping DSJ on his rookie deal and letting Matthews expire than taking on these "duds" for 3 years. Bledsoe is not worth it.

So the Suns are going to do a trade that includes them NOT getting the young PG in the deal? Yea, don't see that happening.

2.) 09 Jan 2019 06:57:29
Nothing or negative return on gallinari is not going to happen. Not with his performance this year. Suns would have to give way more to the Wiz or clips or however this is supposed to play out.

3.) 09 Jan 2019 07:32:03
That’s a garbage trade for the Suns!

4.) 09 Jan 2019 08:35:18
How is that a garbage trade for the Suns. Gallo is more productive than Jackson and they get rid of Anderson? Suns not only need a PG, they also need a PF. Gallo fits.

By how much are these players overpaid or underpaid?

1 Adams OKC
2 Batum CHA
3 Porter WAS
4 Wiggins MIN
5 Thompson GS
6 Gordon HOU
7 Hardaway NYK
8 Whiteside MIA
9 Hayward BOS
10 Williams LAC

This season or their total contract?
Because for example, Adams contract is slightly overpaid this season but it will tune out to be fair value as he continues to improve.

2.) 09 Jan 2019 05:17:18
Total.

3.) 09 Jan 2019 07:46:58
Why is Adams overpaid now but underpaid next year?

4.) 09 Jan 2019 12:12:52
Where did I ever say he’d be underpaid next year?
No where
I just said it’d be fair value.

5.) 09 Jan 2019 15:08:55
I'd say pretty much all of them are a bit overpaid, with some being very overpaid. I think Hayward will round back into form though. He came back fast from that terrible injury, and I think he will get back to where he was before. It just takes time.

Adams is probably overpaid as well, but I'm a big fan of his. I'm not sure about the comment that he will be paid fairly as he develops more. I think he's pretty much the player he is going to be. He's shooting more, but that's a system thing, not so much a development thing.

6.) 09 Jan 2019 17:20:38
I thought Adams was badly overpaid from the moment he signed that contract. He's improved dramatically since then, but he's still making more than he should. He's a 4th option, and you can't pay those guys 25 million a year.

Batum is the same as Adams, except he's gotten worse over the years. Had he taken the same steps Adams did, he wouldn't be an albatross, but he's regressed.

Porter, Wiggins, and Hardaway are all classic offersheet overpays. Restricted free agents almost always get overpaid.

Hayward was a max player, then he got hurt. Hard to fault anyone in that contract. You can't expect someone to break their leg in half. Presently, he's badly overpaid, but I think he rounds into borderline all star form and becomes just slightly overpaid.

Gordon and Williams are bargains. 12 million for an elite role player is fantastic.

Klay is a bargain today as well. 18 million for an all star is great. If he gets maxed out next year, then he's fair market value. Anything less is a bargain.

Whiteside was a bad idea. He's a stat stuffer and doesn't help a team win. He'd be great at 10 million as a 5th starter or 6th man, but he won't accept that role. He thinks he's a superstar. I'd stay away from him at any contract.

7.) 09 Jan 2019 19:55:56
Overpaid, fair value. Same difference, IMO.

I don't think Williams is overpaid.

Why would OKC trade their best bench player for a useless center and old Carter?
