Why would 76ers want an old bench player for one of the top young defensive big men in the league when the 76ers are one of youngest and worst teams in the league?

I don't think it's that ridiculous. It fills a dire need for both teams. The 76ers get an NBA player to play point. The Warriors get a nice replacement at center if they land KD.
If you asked me which of these guys contributed more to winning, I'm not sure i'd have an answer.

Livingston is a quality enough PG to start for half of the teams in the L, why is this ridiculous Sixers fan. His only fault was that freak injury, which he has proven he's recovered from.

Dont get me wrong Livingston is a nice player and was one of the reasons the warriors were so successful this year, but you could plug DJ Augustine and a number of other backup point guards on that warriors team and they would look great too. Ill take Noel over Livingston anyday not a fair trade IMO. Noel on a good team with a good coach still has a ton of potential, and we probably just seen the best year Livingston will ever have.

How are people rationalizing this? Livingston is a good role player but not really starter material or valuable to a team that is pretty awful right now. 76ers should be future focused and Livingston has peaked and is likely going to retire before 76ers are relevant. You can pickup a free agent to eat up minutes for a bad team no sense in giving away one of top assets for one.

It todo oils because Livingston is 30! His mediocre career is almost over. And you want a young stud defensive center for a back up at best talent who's done in three year for sure.

Make the trade with Boston or the Suns
For okafar. Ask for both of their first round picks
That should give you two picks in the top 5 then
Make a deal with sac with one of thepick in the teens also give up one or both late first round picks and give them back the swap of picks you have with them next year. That would give the sixers 3 picks in the top 10.

I don't think Okafor is a great fit for either of those teams (Celtics need an athletic defensive center) and Suns I think need a 4 not a 5 (Lens showed flashes last season) especially not for that price. I see them dealing one of their pg in a deal for a 4. However I think that would be great for Sixers (I'm not sure which picks your referring to but it'll take a decent amount to get Kings to move back from #8). If they deal with bos and sac I like bos getting wcs (and more) instead of Okafor and kings getting Okafor.

I agree but Boston gm wants okafar that's why he is going to over pay. The Kings part would work out if they trade him there. Have the 13 pick where Boston has the 16 pick.

It's said that SAMs is gone cause this would have been fun to watch hinkie vs Ainge. Hinkie people are still in play, can anyone tell me a trade in the last 3 years the sixers got beat on. Ainge might be a snake oil seller, but in all fairness the sixers really don't have to do anything. They aren't planing to make a run were the Celtic are and they have a need not a want, this is why the sixers will win this deal.
