As a lakers fan I don't think we shouldn't do any big max deal this year but get good bench players or just players that will fit what Luke want to run and wait for next year to get a max player cause I don't think whiteside is a max player. But I think lakers should try and get dakari Johnson who was drafted last from okc.

I think Whiteside will resign and he needs vets around him like in Miami. If he comes to LA, it could turn out like Bynum. Biymobo or Ezeli would be our best bets.

I think Whiteside is worth the max personally but I could see your trepidation in having him be the main attraction in LA for a guy who came out of the wood works just two years ago.

If the lakers can trade d'angelo Russell for a top 5 pick in this draft should they and who should they try and pick with it? I think jaylen Brown or Jamal Murray but somehow both gone maybe even a big man in skal labissiere. Tell me what you think or should we keep russell.

Should they yes but I don't think anyone would do it honestly. No from sixers of course. Boston Phoneix and Minnesota have no need and maybe the Pelicans at 6 would do it but I rather have Dunn than Russell so I think as far as top 8 picks go where there are the most value in my opinion no one will trade for him.

I think Russell has more upside than all players available after top 2 and at age 20 he's younger than many of them. He didn't have a great rookie year but I think he'll improve next year without Kobe, a better coach who won't randomly bench him and not tell him why and just being older (and hopefully maturing after Nick Young situation) . I don't see why Lakers should trade him especially for a draft pick in this weak draft. If they were to deal him I think it would include Sixers as part of a 3 team trade with Sixers moving one of their bigs to a team with top 5 pick, Sixers getting Russell and Lakers getting the draft pick.

What if lakers don't try to get the big superstar but just get star like Bradley beal and Harrison Barnes. What lakers can get both and a center. Let me know what you think and if they do what should they do with the 2 pick overall?

Barnes may be obtainable. Beal, like Batum are dead locks to resign with current teams.

If the Lakers can get beal and ben simmons fall to #2 walton will have them play similar to golden state. But I think beal will re-sign with the wizards.

Getting young guys like them for nothing (other than committing cap space to them) is definitely not a bad thing and something Lakers should do if they are able to. Since both are restricted the best they can do is offer both max deals then hope their respective teams don't match (which they both likely will since nobody likes losing talent for nothing)

Simmons, Randle, and let's say Lakers sign Ezeli, if all were starting, there would be no spacing at all. He would play power forward, trading Randle or keeping him as a sixth man, and going after a shooter for the three position (Barnes, Batum) .

I'm not a fan on Randle as his style of play doesn't seem like it'll be effective in the way the league is going. However, he's performed fairly well and is still young. I think Lakers should try to trade him since Simmons with his lack of shooting but great athleticism and rebounding I think he is better suited for the 4 than the 3. It would be tough to play both Simmons and Randle at same time unless its in some small ball lineup with them at 4 and 5.
