Reports saying the Knicks are lowering asking price for Melo.

Clippers get Melo
Knicks get Rivers, Wesley Johnson, Brice Johnson, 2017 First

Paul/Felton
Reddick/Crawford
Melo/Pierce
Griffin/Mbah a Moute
Jordan/Speights

Good deal for both teams

1.) 27 Jan 2017 17:11:33
The Clippers don't own their 2017 1st, it will have to be a 2021 1st at the earliest

2.) 27 Jan 2017 17:22:04
Not enough salary moved by Clips, Salary Cap would not work.

Bos-Phx

Boston gets Chandler

Suns gets Jerebko, Boston 2018 first

Boston finally gets some help rebounding and Phoenix continues to develop young post players and tank.

Yes please if's it's the Nets pick Boston going to send to us, all the better lol

Realistically can't see it happening tbh

2.) 22 Jan 2017 14:52:21
Like it, good deal.

3.) 22 Jan 2017 15:23:45
Chandler is the style player Boston could use but it would have to be Johnson going to Suns in order for salaries to work. The Boston 2018 pick is probably a bit rich for Chandler especially since his salary will make it difficult for them to do the other upgrades that they need and resign IT and Bradley after next season.

4.) 22 Jan 2017 22:40:13
It's not the Nets pick. It's Boston's own first.

5.) 23 Jan 2017 00:40:01
Suns do this trade.

Hawks Blow Up
Trade 1
ATL gets Powel, Siakam, Poeltl, 2017 1st
TOR gets Millsap, Sefolosha

Trade 2
ATL gets Nurkic, Barton
MIN gets Howard
DEN gets Rubio, Beljica

NBAguru21

1.) 22 Jan 2017 13:43:05
Hawks say no to deal 1 they want morw for milsap.

2.) 22 Jan 2017 14:54:34
They may want more for Millsap, but I don't know if they beat that deal. Three young players with upside and a pick (though obviously a late first which may be what ultimately has the Hawks say no) .

3.) 22 Jan 2017 15:40:05
If Hawks want than that for Millsap then he isn't getting traded and likely leaving in FA since I don't think any team would be willing to offer any more than that. Trading for Millsap this late when he is going to be a FA and he can be had for nothing only makes sense for a handful of teams looking to improve their playoff chances (Raptors, Rockets, Jazz, Thunder).

I think Raptors have the most young assets they'd be willing to part with (assuming Hawks want young pieces in return) and none of the other teams could really top this offer (maybe Jazz but I doubt they'd give up much more than Favors) . Not a fan of Millsap to Boston but they could obviously give a lot more but I doubt they'd be willing to.

Trading for Millsap however does give a significant leg up in being able to resign him due to having his bird rights and being able to offer him more money/ years. I'd love the fit on any of the above teams (Pacers and Hornets too but I think they lack the assets) and I think Hawks should rebuild as they've been contemplating since last season.

I'm not certain why people think Rubio all of a sudden has this much value. He is a solid pg but nothing special and Twolves have been shopping him for years. Nuggets would be foolish to get Rubio who is relatively young and would stifle the development of Mudiay. I similarly am not a fan of Howard to Twolves. That is very good value for Rubio but getting someone that old with that big of a contract is a recipe for disaster for a young team. The last few years of his contract when his play drops significantly (big men who depend on athleticism don't age well) but he is making 20+ mill will hurt.

4.) 22 Jan 2017 16:17:59
Would like to see Chandler in green but not at a price of a potential #1 pick.

Blazers-Nets

Crabbe and Vonleh for Lopez.

NBAguru21

1.) 31 Dec 2016 18:19:40
I like this trade too but Crabbe can't be traded to the Nets until June.

2.) 01 Jan 2017 04:38:20
I feel like Nets could get a much better offer for Lopez, and if they can't I wouldn't do this deal. Crabbe is nothing special and has a big contract. Vonleh is still really raw and may never develop into anything and his upside is probably a solid stretch 4 with plus athleticism.

Lopez would be a great addition to Portland but I think they should send back a center like Plumlee and a first rounder + some pieces like Crabbe and Vonleh if they were serious about getting him.

04 Dec 2016 20:56:29
If the Hawks continue to struggle at the deadline I could see them trading Millsap.
Hawks-Bulls
Hawks get Valentine, Mirotic, Future Protected First
Bulls get Millsap

Hawks get some young talent going forward and what have to make a decision on whether to payback Millsap max money as an old player.

Bulls get a guy that makes them a true championship contender

Rondo/ Cannon
Wade/ MCW
Butler/ McDermot
Millsap/ Portis
Gibson/ Lopez.

NBAguru21

1.) 05 Dec 2016 02:27:01
Don't think Millsap goes as far as making Bulls a true championship contender but he'd surely make their team much better. The value isn't bad either even when you take into account that Millsap will be a FA this summer. Another team that I think would make sense for Millsap would be the Raptors.

2.) 07 Dec 2016 13:38:16
Salaries won't work, but I like the bulls as a trade partner.... Only for their sac 1st they own.

ATL-NYK

Melo for Bazemore, Splitter, Bembry, 2017 first.

Schroder/Delaney
Sefolosha/Hardaway
Melo/Dunleavy/Prince
Millsap/Scott/Humphries
Howard/Muscala

NBAguru21

1.) 27 Jan 2017 19:55:58
The trade value seems good. It all depends on if he would waive his no trade clause.

2.) 28 Jan 2017 02:35:26
I actually like the trade from bball point of view for both sides. Value wise I think Hawks could probably get away with giving up less but I don't think it would be a bad trade on their part and allow them to make a more appealing pitch for Millsap to come back.

Hawks Blow Up
Trade 1
Atl gets Ross, Siakam, Poeltl, 2017 First
Tor gets Millsap, Sefolosha

Lowry/ Joseph
Derozan/ Powell
Carrol/ Sefolosha
Millsap/ Patterson
Valanciunas/ Sullinger

Hawks get younger and a pick. Toronto gets a lineup that can compete with Cleveland.

Trade 2
ATL gets Nurkic, Barton
Den gets Rubio, Beljica
Min gets Howard

Rubio/ Mudiay
Harris/ Murray
Gallanari/ Chandler
Faried/ Beljica
Jokic/ Arthur

Dunn/ Jones
Lavine/ Rush
Wiggins/ Muhammad
Townes/ Dieng
Howard/ Aldrich

Hawks get a young, talented center. Nuggets get a solid starting point guard.
Timberwolves get Howard to dominate paint with Townes.

Schroder/ Delaney
Hardaway/ Powell
Barton/ Dunleavy
Siakam/ Muscala
Nurkic/ Poeltl

NBAguru21

1.) 21 Jan 2017 20:11:20
The first trade is solid. Most would probably say Toronto is overpaying for Millsap especially since he is an expiring contract but I think it worth it for the boost he'd give him this season and in the playoffs making them a legit contender. Trading for him now gives them his bird rights allowing them to give him more money and sign him even without the cap space in the offseason. As long as Millsap doesn't have a problem with Toronto I'm not sure what else he'd want since they offer him a major role on a contender and can pay him more than anyone else. I'm certain he wants to get back at Lebron for all the times he destroyed his Hawks teams in the playoffs.

2.) 21 Jan 2017 20:15:59
Not a fan of the second trade. Nuggets aren't getting nearly enough imo. I'm not a fan of Rubio's game and getting him hurts Mudiay's development. Barton is also important since they will likely lose Gallinari in FA this summer.

Don't like that young Twolves team getting Dwight Howard either. They don't need an 30+ dude making 20+ Mill. That contract will really hurt them near its end when his play has dropped off and the rest of the team is really good but they don't have the cap space to add that final piece. I think KAT is a bigger mismatch at center too.

1.) 11 Jun 2016 06:48:40
I think Twolves grab Murray and then Nuggets get Hield. I think they prefer Murray cause he is a more versatile scorer and could play some 1 and potentially replace Rubio at pg who they don't seem enamored with.

2.) 11 Jun 2016 16:35:47
I think Twolves get K. Dunn and B. Heild go to Nop.

So the Celtics trade 3 starters and two potential #1 overall picks for an injury prone Griffin, Redick, and a washed up Pierce? No way.

I say no. Why? LeBron. It's going to take more than Aldridge to beat the Cavs.
