Rights of Saric for Shabazz Muhammad

Swabe

1.) 08 Oct 2015 19:16:59
Pass!

2.) 08 Oct 2015 22:26:54
Sixers are not in the position to trade talent for talent. They have to trade cap space for talent or the OKC/Miami pick for talent.

If they can get Shabazz for the right price they will. Otherwise they'll fill that position in next year's draft.

The Wolves are now in a position where they have talented guys that can't get on the court. They are not in a position of strength in this type of trade so don't expect what you might consider equal value.

3.) 08 Oct 2015 23:59:36
How is Minnesota not in a position of strength. If Philly wants Muhammad, Minnesota had the strength as they have the asset and don't have to trade him. Didn't anyone learn anything from the Love trade. You don't have to accept a lesser deal when you hold all the cards, as Minnesota would if Philly wants Muhammad.

4.) 09 Oct 2015 03:49:44
I agree with phillyrich. Sixers should only trade picks( Miami/okc) with a combination of cap space and aubergine role players to acquire talent. Shabazz is 22 years old and was the 14the pick in the draft 3 years ago. Saric is 21 and was the 12th pick in the draft 2 years ago. Pretty even as far as anticipated production. I am a huge shabazz fan, but also like Saric a lot. Tough call here, but Sixers pass. I think Pekovic will have to be factored in somehow in order to acquire shabazz. Still can be done.

5.) 09 Oct 2015 14:40:35
I think the value is fair, but both teams probably like their own guy more.

As for Shabazz' being picked 14th, remember that his pick was pushed down after a lackluster season at UCLA and issues with his very strange father. The year before, coming out of high school, he was the favorite to be the First pick in that draft! Shabazz rookie season was unremarkable, but last year he loved he can compete, and excel, against NBA talent. This is a big deal, because we often have picks, especially euros, flame out when they face NBA competition.

Saric gets credit for being a year younger, and so locked into rookie scale for an additional year. And if Shabazz' sophomore year was similar to his first NBA season, I'd say Saric > Shabazz. However, proving it in the NBA last year has to move him up over the 14th pick - especially since he was already a value pick at 14 to begin with.

6.) 09 Oct 2015 15:09:14
The Wolves can have their extra player and leave Shabazz on the bench. Not trading Saric for him.

If the Wolves want to clear up the logjam, then the Sixers will talk to them. Would I like Shabazz? Yes. But the price has to be right. And I'd be willing to take Pec since he might be a salary cap issue and Towns looks pretty darn good.

At this moment, the Wolves have an asset on the bench that's probably not going to get much time. When they're ready to convert that asset into a player or pick that better fits, we can talk.

7.) 09 Oct 2015 15:24:31
Yeah, I don't really understand why people keep saying the wolves have this massive log jam and shabazz will get no time. They will have a rotation. People will get their playing time. Players come off the bench and make huge impacts, otherwise there wouldn't be a 6th man of the year award.

Additionally, I have no clue why so much is being made about Saric. He has yet to play a minute in the NBA. His greatest success was when he was under 19. much like shabazz. However, shabazz has shown great efficiency in the actual nba. This past year, all saric did was average 9pts and 6 boards. He turns it over a LOT and for a big boy, shooting 43% is nothing to write home about. I have to admit, I have not watched him play a full game. but then again, almost all if not all of the people here havent. I am not talking about highlights, I mean an entire game.

Is it possible Saric comes to the NBA in the next year or two and ends up as a good role player or decent starter. it's possible, but there's no guarantee and nothing is showing he will be a star in the nba. Shabazz, the wolves know what they could potentially have. They have seen the real game play. And they can see the potential. Likely not a STAR, but reasonably a good to very good player that just needs to stay healthy. No need for the Wolves to make this move. Especially with their real log jam, which includes Dieng, Towns, Pek, Payne and others at the bigs, it would be absurd to get rid of a high potential player to get an unproven player to play behind 3-5 players with NBA experience.

Toronto Minnesota

Raptors get Nikola Pekovic and Kevin Martin or Anthony Bennett plus 2nd rd

Wolves gets Derozan and a trow in player

Swabe

1.) 02 Jul 2015 23:35:21
1.Derozan is worth more than that

2. The Wolves have enough young wings in Lavine, Wiggins, and Muhammad, they don't need another one in Derozan

2.) 07 Jul 2015 02:28:01
If they selling derozan that cheap. Wolves take and run. Having too many at one spot going into camp is no big deal. A simple trade foxes that before season starts. If Toronto wants to give us a good player for our issues. We run to the bank.

Bulls Wolves

Chi gets Kevin Martin

Minn gets Taj Gibson

Bucks Wolves

Mill Gets Nikola Pekovic and 2 2nd rd

Minn Gets OJ Mayo

Rubio jones
Mayo lavine
Wiggins shabazz bud
Gibson garnett(teacher for big man)
Towns dieng

Swabe

1.) 02 Jul 2015 07:01:21
Getting Gibson is worthless to the Wolves and they don't want the underperforming headache that is Mayo

26 Jun 2015 06:25:00
Hornets - Wolves
Cha gets Gorgui Deing Kevin Martin 2nd rd and rights to swap 1st rd pick top 8 protection(the next 1st rd twolves available)
MN gwts MKG and Jeff Taylor

Swabe

1.) 26 Jun 2015 12:44:46
Wolves don't have space for MKG, Wiggins and Shabazz will take up most of the wing minutes, so trading Dieng, a future piece in the front court, just doesn't make sense

Swabe

Minnesota passes.

2.) 25 Jun 2015 18:29:16
Rubio is one of the best pg in the nba Burke a ok backup and shabazz a lot better than burke add a high first minn says ok

3.) 25 Jun 2015 20:12:49
^ Rubio isn't even a top 10 PG

4.) 25 Jun 2015 20:32:19
HA!! Rubio is an average PG at best, I agree Burke isn't an upgrade but don't kid yourself that Rubio is a top 10 PG, he can't shoot and in super injury prone.

Hella Nope For TWolves!
LaVine Showed Hella great this Season (i doubt him early on the year) Shabazz showed good things too but unfortunately broke his fingers (i think) and Zinger might be the next Darko and Wolves don't need a Big
