Philly receives: Burke, OKC 2018 first, Utah 2017 second

Utah receives: Rights to Saric, Canaan

Curious to hear from Philly people, do you think they would consider this or would it take more to pry Saric away?

Significantly more. Burke is more or less worthless as is a future second when we already have more than we know what do with. So you're basically saying Saric for a future first from a very good team.

This would be fine for me as a Sixers fan. This first helps the deal for me as Burke I'm not big on at all. Saric I like I just hate that he's still over seas. Bad decision on his part for his NBA dream.

I'm goi g to pass as a sixer fan. Burke is an average nba pg, and Okcs pick will be a very late first rounder. I think saric has more upside then what we get in return. I'm not opposed to trading him, but not for this package

There's no reason to move Saric. There are guards out there that they can acquire (probably) by utilizing their stockpile of picks. Heck, I think they could get Mario Chalmers for basically zero. They are not in a position to move players out when the can get their guards by not moving players out.

It was known Saric would not be a Sixer for 2 years, possibly 3. The rumors that he did not want to come over are false. He wants to but the buy out is too much for him to eat. Now is not the time to lose patience.

Saric may be good when he comes over but I've seem far too many euros bust in the NBA. I don't like that he was dumb enough to sign overseas two weeks before the draft. It shows a lack of smarts and commitment on his part. I don't like that either. We'll see with him. I'll admit I want him to play as a Sixers but if he stays three season overseas just to get a bigger contract I'm done with him. That would mean he's greedy and entitled since he has proved nothing in the NBA. Sure I'd love to see him as a Sixer. But he's made a mistake with that contract for sure.

I never understood why Saric did that. Maybe he thought it would push him down the draft and he'd get selected by a more playoff ready team? Or maybe he really, truly intends to stay for 3 years and avoid the rookie wage scale.

Gotta love these video game proposals. Three mediocre players don't add up to one all-star.

The real issue on James Young here isn't his talent or potential. If you're including him in a trade to the Jazz the real issue is that you're assuming Young is better (or will be better) than Rodney Hood. I don't see the Jazz thinking that way.

I think the only way the Celts get Hayward is with their Nets pick (currently 3) because I think that's the only thing the Jazz would ask for. Proven borderline All-Star for a super high pick, and I don't think the Celts say yes to that. I just don't see Hayward to the Celts happening this year.

I don't think the Jazz agree either. The Jazz feel good about Trey in his backup role and think he can succeed there, despite the bevy of pg's they have. They wouldn't give up what they feel is a promising backup for what would be a guy who would be stuck behind 4 or 5 guys already at the 2 and 3 positions. Also Dennis Lindsey has traded 2 second rounders 2 years straight for basically nothing, the second rounder does nothing here.
