Jazz / Nets

Jazz send D. Favors R. Hood/ D. Exum
first round pick 2017
Nets send B. Lopez

Jazz line up

G. Hill / S. Mack
A. Burks / J. Ingles
G. Hayward / J. Johnson
B. Lopez / T. Lyles
R. Gober / B. Diaw

will never happen but i think it makes sense for both team, jazz use their depth and turn it into another all star and the nets get some good young pieces and a first round pick back.

Well, The Nets should be happy with that return.
Jazz are overpaying, but B Lopez would be a good fit in Utah.

2.) 13 Feb 2017 19:41:59
Can lopez guard the 4?

3.) 13 Feb 2017 19:45:50
Hard pass. No way the Jazz would send Favors back to the dumpster fire that is Brooklyn, and they are definitely not shipping Hood with Burks still on the roster. Dante is not going anywhere either unless George Hill is signed to a long term deal.

Lopez is too big and slow to play pf defensively. He wouldn't be a good fit with Gobert. Factor in giving up Hood/ Exum AND a first and that is a huge overpay for Jazz for a player that doesn't even fit.

If Brooklyn is going to get anyone it would be lyles it probably wouldn't happen but Lopez for lyles and Burke Brooklyn gets young n jazz gain an office threat.

jazz / mavs

jazz send D. Exum / T. Lyles

mavs send D. Williams

jazz

PG: G. Hill / D. Williams
SG: R. Hood / A. Burks
SF: G. Hayward / J. Ingles
PF: D. Favors / J. Johnson
C: R. Gobert / B. Diaw

D-Will gets back to Utah and joins old teammate Joe Johnson and they do what they thought they would do with the nets.

OK Mavs fans in disguise

2.) 03 Feb 2017 00:45:24
Quit living in the past. D-Will is not wort Jazz giving up two young promising pieces for at this stage of his career especially with him being a FA this summer. The Mavs with them being pretty bad would likely be open to offers not half as good as this one.

3.) 03 Feb 2017 00:48:50
Why in the world would Utah even consider this?

@shizzee
What disguise?

Celtics go get Drummond

Pistons are stupid if they trade him. They need to let team develop and trade for a upgrade at backup wing.

2.) 16 Feb 2017 08:41:45
I don't like the idea of Pistons dealing Drummond but if they were to Celtics would be one of the more logical partners with their boatload of assets and need for a superstar and a center. I think Drummond would be a great fit in Boston. He wouldn't be nearly as good as Cousins who's offensive game separates him from Drummond but he isn't a bad second choice as it seems the window to get Cousins has closed.

I think Pistons would want both Brooklyn picks for the trade so they could get a top pg prospect in 2017 draft (ideally Fultz or Ball) then in 2018 get a big man replacement for Drummond (draft projects to be deep at the position) . Pistons could add a cheap solid player like Morris to help make it happen. Outside of the two Brooklyn picks I don't see much interesting to Pistons. They'd need the 2018 Brooklyn pick to conceivably get an adequate replacement to Drummond (Unless they go after Noel or someone of the like in a second deal) and the 2017 pick offers a potential game changing pg (They are shopping Jackson) . Bradley is an impressive talent but they'd have to have confidence going with Jackson at pg and move KCP to the 3 since Bradley isn't a pg.

3.) 16 Feb 2017 08:45:49
From the Celtics side I think Drummond is an impressive talent especially considering his age but I'm not sure I'd be willing to give up Brooklyn picks for a player of his skill set. I'd role the dice on a cheaper to get player (older with less upside) that may not be able to put up quite the numbers Drummond puts up but could provide 10+ ppg, 10+ rebounds per game and some rim protection and use the Brooklyn picks to land a star on the perimeter i. e Butler (or keep picks and try and sign Hayward) .
