Deng makes about 18 million on average the next 3 years. Total amount of 54 million you throw away. For 54 million you have to give russel without getting any pick returned.
Maybe you get the 2nd-round picks.

Let me further explain what I mentioned. Everybody in the league knows the lakers want pg next year and they have a great chance to get him. But with deng and mozgov + the pg Salary your above 60 million. What means not enough space for 2 other good players. I don't think pg would come if the next best player not on a rookie contract is clarkson. So the gm's can make you pay.
I would demand this years 2nd pick for one contract because if you decline you can't get pg. And there are just 3 teams which can swallow the contracts (Kings, sixers, nets) --> so no biding war will come up.

Wondering everyone's opinion of the Bryan Colangelo twitter saga? What does everyone think the Sixers should do? Fire him and look for another GM or stand by him. I personally think they should fire him and look for a better GM.

Getting rid of okafor was not a bad idea and having a different opinion than you are allowed to publicly speak about shouldn't be a crime or denigrating act. It's long over with and now its being brought to light. What was the harm?

The harm is, if the reports are true, he was publicly bashing and releasing private info about people that play for him. Not being constructive. Not saying things everyone knew. You can't play for someone like that.
Their best bet at this point would be to fire him and hire David Griffin. even though I would LOVE to see Hinkie resurrected as this team's true savior.

What do you guys think about the Sixers going after Paul George instead of LBJ in free agency? I don't think George will sign in Philly at all but I do believe he would be a much better fit then LBJ would be.

I don't get how you can call Fultz a bust/ scrub. He was the #1 overall pick for a reason and he ONLY 19 years old. He shown flashes during the regular season that backs up why he was #1. Give the dude a fricken chance. Covington is becoming a solid 3 and D player which is what everyone in the league is looking for nowadays.
Spurs also have no leverage in the discussion. Leonard will walk after next season anyways. Also Leonard didn't even play a game last season. There is a chance he doesn't even come back to the superstar form he had before the injury.
You could put the whole Sixers squad in the package and Supercollider will say its not enough and that they are scrubs. I don't know how the Sixers won 52 games last season with all these "scrubs".
