1.) 11 Mar 2018 23:11:13
Why would Ibaka leave.

2.) 12 Mar 2018 01:08:47
Why would the Raptors do that?

3.) 12 Mar 2018 05:12:15
What happens when POR gets swept in the 1st or second round? If Butler is healthy POR doesn't stand a chance against a MIN match-up. LAC, UTAH, DEN, SA could all easily handle POR. Trade all those future picks away?

4.) 12 Mar 2018 13:44:06
The ibaka trade and Ariza signings are impossible. Portland is way too far over the cap for that. They can’t make a trade where they bring in double what they send out. And they won’t have any cap space to sign anyone for anything but the MLE.

5.) 12 Mar 2018 16:13:08
Also, it’s crazy that Portland (in this scenario) improves their roster, yet they don’t stand a chance against 5 teams that they are currently ahead of in the standings? Logical Jorga.

6.) 12 Mar 2018 19:31:54
What was I thinking? Thanks for putting me straight. I guess I'll complete re-think everything. Real eye-opener. Where should I mail the penny to?

7.) 12 Mar 2018 20:04:28
You’re welcome!

8.) 13 Mar 2018 00:17:18
USA, the Raptors make the move to create payroll flexibility for upcoming free agency. They clear roughly $12M in cap space. The draft picks help Toronto make the move.

1.) 07 Mar 2018 20:28:34
Spurs don't trade for Lee. Kanter won't walk. He has a player option.

2.) 07 Mar 2018 20:45:45
Noah has 38 million guaranteed the next two years, may not even be good enough to make a roster and doesn't actually have to do anything right now. Why would he agree to take less money? They'll either have to stretch him or just keep paying him to be no where near the Knicks.

Also, it's a bad off-season to be a free agent and Kanter isn't getting a big contract. I highly doubt he opts out.

The Knicks aren't getting a first out of Lee. No one is willing to give up a 1sts for role players right now. Look aar all the solid wings that were being shopped for a 1st, but no one would pull the trigger on.

I don't see the appeal of Greg Monroe over Kanter and Beasley.

3.) 07 Mar 2018 22:36:50
Why Kanter 1 more year is better than Monroe as will O'Quinn. Keep Noah. Stretch him out his final season unl.

4.) 09 Mar 2018 05:07:12
Kanter isn't walking. He'll collect his option. Beasley should go to another team, unless Hornacek is canned and someone is hired who knows how to use him to the teams advantage. Even the "mature" Spurs have no interest in too old, and overpaid Lee. Monroe is basically Kanter. Draft a big, or wait till next season. Buy-out Noah is a great plan. Get that over with. Sooner the better. Ntilikina isn't starting over Mudiay/ Burke, or Hardaway. Experimenting with him at SG as well currently. Nets love them some Carroll better offer more than that. Bjelica is a good sign if MIN doesn't contest.

Cavs Offseason: (If LeBron decides to leave)

-waive SG Marcus Thornton, SG John Holland

Trade (Cleveland - Philadelphia)

Cavs: PG Markelle Fultz, PF/C Richaun Holmes, PG Jerryd Bayless, 2019 top 5 protected 1st round pick, 2020 2nd round pick

76ers: SF LeBron James (S&T)

Draft:

5th pick - SF Michael Porter Jr

Free Agency:
-let Jeff Green, Jose Calderon walk
-re-sign SG/SF Rodney Hood 2 years, $26M (player option for 3rd season)
-sign SG/SF David Nwaba 2 years, $10M
-sign PF Trevor Booker 1 year, $3M
-buy out SG JR Smith

Lineup:
PG: Hill, Fultz, Bayless
SG: Clarkson, Osman, Korver
SF: Hood, Porter Jr, Nwaba
PF: Love, Nance Jr, Booker
C: Thomspon, Holmes, Zizic

nbatradetalk

1.) 05 Mar 2018 20:25:21
LeBron could just sign there instead trade. Fultz has no value as of yet. So any team with cap space is taking Bayless for 2019 1st.

2.) 05 Mar 2018 20:49:24
I don't see Philly giving up that much in a sign and trade for Lebron. It helps them if they get rid of Bayless, but it's not necessary for them and if the Cavs couldn't get something significant, they would probably pass on it since would keep them paying luxury tax. That deal might be best case scenario if Lebron leaves though.

Also, I think the Cavs would need to trade Love before the season. They don't have their 2019 pick unless it falls top 10. I think Love might keep them from being bad enough.

They may want to trade Korver to save money and use Hill's large expiring to gain some assets as well.

Pacers Offseason

-waive C Al Jefferson, PF Alex Pothyress, SG Trey McKinney-Jones
-use team options on Lance Stephenson, F/C Domantas Sabonis, PG Joseph Young
-PG Cory Joseph and PF Thaddeus Young exercise their player options

Draft:
20th Pick - SG Hamidou Diallo
52nd Pick - C Nick Richards

Trade (Indiana - Washington)

Pacers receive SF Kelly Oubre Jr, C Ian Mahinmi, 2019 top 10 protected 1st round pick

Wizards receive PF Thaddeus Young, C Ike Anigbogu, 2020 41-50 protected 2nd round pick

Free Agency:
-let Glenn Robinson III walk
-re-sign Trevor Booker 1 year, vets minimum
-Sign DeAndre Jordan 3 year, $60M (team option for 4th year)

Lineup:
PG: Collison, Joseph, Young
SG: Oladipo, Stephenson, Diallo
SF: Bogdanovic, Oubre Jr
PF: Turner, Sabonis, Booker
C: Jordan, Mahinmi, Leaf, Richards

nbatradetalk

1.) 01 Mar 2018 08:11:08
Why would Jordan take a lesser contract?
He's getting 24M next year.
And Sabonis can play PF, but he's a center, so i don't think indy should try to sign him.

I like taking Mahinmi's contract for getting Oubre and a draft pick.

2.) 01 Mar 2018 21:39:40
I like you're scenario but Jordan will want more money and Nick Richards will not fall to 52. Otherwise the scenario is realistic to me.

Unless the Nets pick is involved, Memphis won't do this trade.

Good returns for Cleveland and SA. I don't think Minnesota goes through with this trade.

I don't think moving Dinwiddie and a 1st is worth moving up 10 picks.

Trail Blazers hang out laughing. You can't be serious this is close to enough for Lillard?

I still don't understand why the Knicks trade Ntilikina? You stated this summer is for defensive purposes yet you trade their best defender for 2 unproven prospects.
