Nets/Nuggets Trade:

Nets Receive: 13th pick (Via Denver)

The Nets finally get to pick in the lottery where they might have a chance at Trae Young, Miles Bridges or Kevin Knox. All three of those players should fall into that range and they can provide playmaking which is what the Nets could you. Picture a lineup of Trae Young, D'angelo Russell, Allen Crabbe, Rondae Hollis Jefferson, and Jarrett Allen. There are other alternatives with this pick as well. If they fall in love with a guy like Wendell Carter Jr. or Collin Sexton, who are projected to go earlier than the 13th pick they could always package the 13th pick and somebody like Jahlil Okafor to move up a spot or two.

*(Scenario involves the Nets drafting Miles Bridges with the 13th pick)*
Depth Chart:
1-D'angelo Russell/Jermey Lin/
2-Allen Crabbe/Caris Levert/Nik Stauskas
3-Miles Bridges/Joe Harris/James Webb III or another draft pick
4-Demmare Caroll/Rondae Hollis-Jefferson/Dante Cunningham
5-Jarrett Allen/Quincy Acy/Jahlil Okafor

Nuggets Receive: Spencer Dinwiddie, 29th pick (Via Toronto)

The Nuggets finally get a playmaking point guard who is having a career year. He's averaging 13 points, 6.5 assists, and 3 boards per game. He's a guy that doesn't need the ball and he can play solid perimeter defense since he stands at 6'6, tall for a point guard. Dinwiddie will be able to dish the ball down low to Jokic and Millsap or run the pick and role/pick and pop. This provides the Nuggets with a versatile depth chart where they could run a lot of different lineups. Dinwiddie and Murray in the backcourt makes for a great perimeter duo. Garry Harris, Will Barton and Wilson Chandler can all compete for the starting role but all have virtually similar playing style, 3 and D. All in all, this trade would put the Nuggets back into real playoff contention and could get them a potential 6-7 seed out West.

Depth Chart:
1-Spencer Dinwiddie/Jamal Murray/Devin Harris
2-Garry Harris/Will Barton/Malik Beasley
3-Wilson Chandler/Richard Jefferson/Juan Hernangomez
4-Paul Millsap/Trey Lyles/Darell Arthur
5-Nikola Jokic/Mason Plumlee/Kenneth Faried

I think that the 13th pick is too much value for Spencer Dinwiddie. The Nuggets could keep the pick and get a guy like Gilgeous-Alexander, or they could maybe trade up a little to get Sexton. Dinwiddie is a solid player on a decent contract, but I think the Nuggets would rather have a person five years younger with even more contract control.

2.) 06 Apr 2018 21:26:59
Personally, I think Murray would start over Dinwiddie, but I think it's a good deal for both. I'm imagining tombrady hasn't seen a lot of Spencer, he's a nice player who I think still has more upside. His 4 to 1 Assist to Turnover ratio suggests he's a guy that could take command of a very deep second unit.

3.) 07 Apr 2018 00:59:34
I like Dinwiddie as a replacement for Mudiay/ Harris. A lottery pick? Not 13. Maybe 18+.

4.) 07 Apr 2018 13:57:13
Jorga, they do get a pick back to offset the overpay on the pick.

5.) 07 Apr 2018 17:31:38
I saw that, 29th. A 2nd basically. I don't see a whole lot of potential past 22 in this draft. Lots of projects.

NOP-SAS Trade

Pelicans Receive: Kawhi Leonard

-This is a no brainer obviously for the Pelicans. Kawhi is undoubtedly a superstar in this league. They give up a lot here but it's worth it. Given Rondo can settle into his role, they can sign some shooters and other role players to fill in a round the new big 3, NOP will be a huge threat to the Warriors.

Spurs Receive: Cheik Diallo, Nikola Mirotic, Jrue Holiday, 2018 unprotected NOP first round pick, 2019 unprotected NOP first round pick, 2022 unprotected NOP second round pick

-The Spurs simply cannot beat the Warriors even with Kawhi Leonard healthy. They do not have enough pure talent. If they start their rebuilding process now, they will be able to get enough young talent to compete in the future once again. The assets that they receive from this trade are amazing. The 2018 first will be valuable because Demarcus Cousins and Kawhi Leonard are out for the season. The 2019 will be less valuable given the team will be healthy. Holiday and Mirotic are solid role players and Cheik Diallo is a nice young player. 3 future picks are very valuable and given Kawhi is rumored to leave in 2019 free agency, the Spurs will want to capitalize now before the last year of his contract begins.

Salaries are 20 million off and Pelicans traded their 1st rounder for Mirotic.

Amir Johnson will star over Ellenson. My bad.

2.) 01 Mar 2018 05:21:54
Bucks say No!

3.) 01 Mar 2018 21:33:13
@The Dark Side if you followed basketball at all, you would know that the Bucks need a rim protector. Ya think that a 7 foot 4 monster can protect the rims and grab boards? NO. Boban can mentor Thin Maker who is also an international player, which will ultimately fuel progression.

tostitochip17

1.) 27 Feb 2018 14:38:18
Why in the world would chicago give up the best asset in this trade for a mentor when they have ROLO to do that now. Makes 0 sense for Chicago.

2.) 27 Feb 2018 15:15:41
The 14th and the 21st aren't going to get you the 7th pick in a draft that has elite talent to atleast the 7th spot if not the 8th or 9th. Also, I think worse case scenario for Bamba is probably fifth. I think Doncic and Ayton go before him for sure and maybe Bagley or Porter Jr. I suppose someone could fal in love with Jackson or Young, but it would take a small miracle for him to be available at 7.

3.) 27 Feb 2018 15:59:08
I agree that the Bulls shouldn't swing that deal. They already have enough young assets that they don't need two more good ones, they should go for one elite one.

With that being the case, you don't move Oubre for 14, he's better than what you're going to get at that spot.

4.) 27 Feb 2018 17:53:16
ROLO is not similar to Lauri at all. They are totally different. Marcin Gortat is a true vet, knows what's it's like to be an international player and can connect with Lauri. ROLO doesn't play defense and is clueless.

5.) 27 Feb 2018 18:28:14
@godfather also the Bulls want to fill their roster with young guys not just another hit or miss player. The more young guys they have, the easier the rebuild with be. Also ROLO and Marcin are expiring deals and will be easy to deal for more assets at next years deadline.

6.) 27 Feb 2018 19:03:55
Tostito, Gortat plays nothing like Markannen either.

7.) 27 Feb 2018 19:08:27
Gortat is no similar to Lauri what so ever either. Lauri plays great away from the basket where as Gortat can't do anything with the ball outside the paint. Plus it would be stupid for the Bulls to add another big man to their already crowded rotation with Portis, Markkanen, Vonleh, Lopez, Asik, and Felcio all under contract next season as well.

26 Feb 2018 02:47:17
Suns Offseason:

1. Fire Jay Triano and hire Tony Bennett
-Tony Bennett will be coming off a nice season at Virginia and is ready for the NBA. He has been coaching young athletes for a long time and will connect with the Suns youthful roster.

2. Fire Ryan Mcdonagh and Hire David Griffin be the Suns new GM. David Griffin actually spend 17 seasons with the Phoenix Suns and was also named the teams senior Vice President in 2007 before leaving. David Griffin also had a successful 6 year tenure with the Cavaliers where he added some of these notable achievements to his list:
-Drafting Kyrie Irving
-Signing Lebron James
-Trading for Kevin Love
-Building the 2016 NBA championship team
Ryan Mcdonagh has also made some questionable moves in Phoenix such as, drafting Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss with the 4th and 8th pick in the 2016 NBA draft. They haven't exactly panned out. Signing Tyson Chandler and Brandon Knight to multi year deals were obviously not exactly in the teams best interest either.

3. 2018 NBA Draft

a.
PHX Receives: Cole Aldrich, rights to the 54th overall pick (projected)
-Get another asset.
-Saves money.

MIN Receives: Jared Dudley
-The Timberwolves don't have a backup for Andrew Wiggins on the roster and Jared Dudley is a serviceable 3 and D wing that can play the 3 and the 4.

b.
PHX drafts: DeAndre Ayton with the 1st overall pick (projected, Rodions Kurucus with the 31st pick (projected), and Joel Berry with the 54th pick (projected).

4. 2018 Free Agency

-Let Alex Len walk
-Resign Elfrid Payton to a 1 year+1 year player option 15 million dollar contract
-cut Alec Peters, Daniel House Jr., and Brandon Knight to clear out roster spots+cap

PHX signs:
Isaiah Thomas to a 1 year+1 year player option 36.5 million dollar deal
-played in Phoenix
-Phoenix needs a point guard

5. 2018-2019 Starting Lineups+G-League

G-League players: Rodions Kurucus, Joel Berry II

1-Isaiah Thomas/Elfrid Payton/Tyler Ulis
2-Devin Booker/Troy Daniels/Davon Reed
3-T.J. Warren/Josh Jackson/
4-Marquese Chriss/Dragan Bender
5-DeAndre Ayton/Tyson Chandler/Alan Williams

It's time for Phoenix to stop tanking and start attempting to win. If DeAndre Ayton come into the NBA as a complete force, this team could make the playoffs. Isaiah Thomas will be a lot happier playing alongside Devin Booker and a bunch of young unselfish guys that aren't cocky and arrogant like the old Clevland team and even some guys on the current Lakers squad. Hopefully Isaiah Thomas can get somewhat back to what he was in Boston, Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton ball out, and Tony Bennett can have a good first year coaching campaign. With this roster I don't think that the 7th or 8th seed is out of the question.

tostitochip17

1.) 26 Feb 2018 15:40:47
I like a lot of your moves, but I'm not sure on Thomas. He and Booker would have the potential to be a crazy offensive backcourt, but they also would be pretty terrible defensively. He plays best when he has a guy like Bradley or Smart working with him. Don't get me wrong, he puts in the effort on that side of the ball, unlike some scoring guards, but his height limits what he can physically do. If they can get him on the cheap, and let him fully heal, he's still a big asset. But I think they'd be better served with a distributing/ defending PG and spend on a youngish, scoring wing instead. I also think it's a little early to call Bender and Chriss bad draft picks. They haven't panned out completely so far, but very few from that draft after them have. So while they aren't home runs by any stretch, they also shouldn't be considered complete busts.

2.) 26 Feb 2018 16:49:46
Suns will never hire anyone a GM other than someone who acts as Sarver's mouthpiece (aka a yes man) . Griffin should have been their GM all along, but there's that Sarver angle again. Only coaches who "take direction well" from the owner and GM are eligible for hire these days in PHX. So, just as in some other NBA cities, the owner is the main reason why the Suns have fallen on such bad times.
Oh, and no way PHX or IT wants anything to do with each other. Suns owe Knight too much money to simply cut him so, they'll try to make him have some "added value" and try to move him. PHX needs a pass first PG not an IT.
Agree with Len and others walking . You can add Dudley, Chandler, Chriss to that list. They'd have to be moved in deals though.

3.) 26 Feb 2018 23:04:40
As a Timberwolves fan, I would take that deal in a heartbeat.

Then they can concentrate their 1st round pick on a wing.

3 Team Trade-SAS/LAL/MIA

Spurs Receive: Hassan Whiteside

The Spurs will have solidified their front court with a defensive monster in Whiteside and a pure scoring forward in Aldridge. This would improve Kawih overall morale with his new teammate and convince him to buy back into the Spurs organization.

Spurs projected 2018-2019 starting lineup

1. Dejounte Murray
2. Danny Green
3. Kawhi Leonard
4. Lamrarcus Aldridge
5. Hassan Whiteside

Lakers Receive: Pau Gasol

They get a Laker legend back and a center who is more versatile than Brook Lopez and they dump Luol Dengs contract using 3 projected late draft picks. (defense/rebounding+scoring). The best thing about this is that they give up

Lakers projected 2018-2019 starting lineup

1. Lonzo Ball
2. Paul George
3. Brandon Ingram
4. Kyle Kuzma
5. Pau Gasol

Heat Receive: Davis Bertans, Cavs 2018 first round pick (Via. LAL), Spurs 2018 first round pick, Luol Deng, Lakers 2019 and 2021 second round picks

The Heat can afford to take on Luol dang considering they are probably about to enter rebuilding mode with this move. They could also really use some future picks. They currently have just 2 picks in the upcoming 3 years. They need to develop the youth on this team.

Heat projected 2018-2019 starting lineup

1. Goran Dragic
2. Wayne Ellington
3. James Johnson
4. Justice Winslow
5. Bam Adebayo

1.) 05 Apr 2018 22:45:14
I'm not sure the Lakers even give up a 1st to swap Deng for Gasol. It's a slight upgrade in player, but the money is just as bad. It doesn't help them get to their goal of two max deals.

Thunder Receive-Shabazz Muhamad,

The Thunder need a new wing. Muhamad is a versatile wing still under a rookie scale contract. He can stretch the floor, he is athletic, and would be the perfect complement to the duo of Paul George and Russell Westbrook. This will be huge for them come playoff time and if it doesn't workout, Muhamad is on an expiring deal.

Thunder Starting Lineup:
1-Russell Westbrook
2-Shabazz Muhamad
3-Paul George
4-Carmelo Anthony
5-Steven Adams
Timberwolves Receive-Nikola Mirotic

As of now, the Timberwolves are starting an aging Taj Gibson who is an offensive liability. Karl-Anthony Towns is a two way center that would benefit from an offensive complement aside him. Although Gibson is playing well and averaging 12 points a game, Mirotic is averaging 17 which is considerably more than Gibson. Gibson would also be a great addition to the bench.

Timberwolves Starting Lineup-
1-Jeff Teague
2-Jimmy Butler
3-Andrew Wiggins
4-Nikola Mirotic
5-Karl-Anthony Towns

Bulls Receive-Andre Roberson, 2020 first round top 10 protected Thunder pick, Nemanja Bjelica,
2019 top 20 protected Timberwolves pick

This is a salary haul for the bulls as they would acquire 14 million dollars on two multi year deals, however, they won't be attracting marquee free agents with the present roster and coaching staff. They acquire two more solid draft picks for the future which will be perfect for developing the youth.

Bulls Starting Lineup-
1-Kris Dunn
2-Zach Lavine
3-Denzel Valentine
4-Lauri Markkanen
5-Robin Lopez

tostitochip17

1.) 25 Jan 2018 13:20:02
Thunder says no. Roberson is way to important to give away for Muhamad.

22 Jan 2018 02:32:37
Cavs Receive- Spencer Dinwiddie, Rondae Hollis Jefferson, Jarrett Allen

The Cavs get a scoring, reliable point guard to come off the bench, a versatile defender in Hollis-Jefferson, and a rim protector/rebounder in Jarrett Allen. They also unload Channing Frye's contract and get two young players (Hollis Jefferson and Allen) that will benefit them now and be good starting pieces in case Lebron leaves in free agency and the Cavs go into rebuilding mode.

Cavs Lineup 2018:
1-Isaiah Thomas/Spencer Dinwiddie/Derrick Rose
2-J.R. Smith/Dwyane Wade
3-Lebron James/Jae Crowder
4-Kevin Love/Rondae Hollis Jefferson
5-Jarrett Allen or Tristan Thompson

Cavs Lineup 2019 (considering Lebron leaves and they don't resign Isaiah Thomas)-
1-Spencer Dinwiddie
2-J.R. Smith
3-Jae Crowder
4-Kevin Love
5-Jarrett Allen or Tristan Thompson

Nets Receive- Brooklyn pick 2018, Channing Frye, Jose Calderon, Ante Zizic

Nets Lineup 2018-
1-D'angelo Russell/Calderon
2-Allen Crabbe/Caris Levert
3-Demmare Carroll/Joe Harris
4-Channing Frye/Quincy Acy
5-Tyler Zeller/Jahlil Okafor/Ante Zizic

Nets Lineup 2019 (considering they have the money to attract free agents with the youth they now have)-
1-D'angelo Russell
2-Caris Levert
3-Luka Doncic
4-Julius Randle-(Lakers do not match deal)
5-Jahlil Okafor

The Nets receive their own pick and will be able to control where that falls in the upcoming draft, two expiring deals, and a young center with potential. It's time the Nets begin their youth movement and although they would have to give up two nice young players, they would receive a high lottery pick and Ante Zizic who could be a nice fit alongside Jahlil Okafor. If the Nets handle the draft right and Luka Doncic, Michael Porter or Marvin Bagley is still available, they could be a force to be reckoned with in the East come 2019

buddy,

you don't trade the 8th pick and Tim Hardaway jr. for no names just to clear out Noah. Lopez, asik, varied, etc all suck.

this is the worst return for the Knicks. Lopez, Mathews and Asik have horrible contracts. Even though you cleared out Noah, you get 4 worthless players with bad contracts and you lose the 8th pick. And why would the Knicks trade lance Thomas for Kenneth Faried who is on a multi year deal paying him 13 mil annually. This trade is horrible.

Mirotic is not going to take 8 mil a year. He's already making more than that and playing well. Tatum would start of Morris and Hayward would play small forward anyway.
