The free agent names on the Nets' radar and atop their wish list were fairly consistent, Keyon Dooling. Eduardo Najera. Some who were up front are going elsewhere, like Mickael Pietrus and Roger Mason. And there were other names that were in the background. Yesterday, one of them came to the forefront, Jarvis Hayes.

The Orlando Magic signed Mickael Pietrus to a multiyear deal, Florida Today reported on its website Tuesday. The deal will become official when the NBA's free agent signing period opens Wednesday.

Smush Parker's agent indicated he's not interested in a buyout or taking less than the $4.6 million he is owed through next season.

The Heat's countdown to acquire restricted free agent Charlie Bell continued Wednesday, however the team's pursuit of another offseason target reportedly has expired. The Heat has abandoned efforts to acquire Golden State restricted free agent Mickael Pietrus after the Warriors discarded the Heat's most recent proposals.
