The Atlanta Hawks may be for real. Just ask Joe Johnson. Mike Bibby scored all of his 19 points in the 1st half, making 4 3 pointers during an 18-4 run that broke open the game, and the unbeaten Hawks routed the Toronto Raptors 110-92 on Friday night. Bibby added 12 assists for Atlanta (4-0). The Hawks are off to their best start since 1997, when they won their 1st 11 games.

Leave it up to Mike Bibby to light the fire with the Boston fans. The Hawks point guard lit into Celtics' fans before practice Tuesday, calling them "bandwagon jumpers". "They were kind of loud at the starting", he said.

Yesterday, Mike Bibby was actually the type to pile on. After hearing what Kendrick Perkins had to say about his comments ("If you had a 2 for 10 shooting night, you will say something like that, too".) he aligned his crosshairs on the Celtics center.

Rajon Rondo silenced Atlanta's blustery point guard, on the court, at least, and Kevin Garnett had 19 points and 10 rebounds Wednesday as Boston beat the Hawks 96-77 to take a 2-0 lead in the 1st round series.

Coach Mike Woodson can only hope Mike Bibby does not miss much time with the Atlanta Hawks. "I think he's going to be fine", Woodson said. "I think he only sprained his thumb, the one he has surgery on. However, we will treat him tomorrow, and I am sure he will be ready to go Friday.

Nearly a decade of playoff futility is enough for the Atlanta Hawks. Recent Hawks addition Mike Bibby scored 23 points, and Atlanta beat the Wizards 105-96 to move one half game ahead of idle New Jersey for 8th place in the Eastern Conference.

The league set guidelines for Saturday's do-over between the Atlanta Hawks and Heat, who must have completed the final 51.9 seconds of their December 19 overtime game.

Hawks GM Billy Knight would like to fire head coach Mike Woodson 2 weeks ago, however the owners refused, as stated by 2 people familiar with the conversation, that included one within the organization. Knight recommended Woodson be replaced by assistant coach Larry Drew after the team traded for point guard Mike Bibby on February 16, during the NBA's All Star Weekend.

Like any good point guard, Mike Bibby would like to involve as most of his teammates as possible. "You cannot do anything by yourself", he said. "I tell the guys, 'Whenever I drive to the basket, circle in, because I am looking to pass it. Be aggressive.' I am going to attempt to get the ball where they require it.

Mike Bibby returned to Sacramento as an opposing player and the Kings fans made him feel as if he never left. It is only been several days since Bibby was traded to the Atlanta Hawks, however he enjoyed the warm welcome.
