There have been murmurings about the Monta Ellis situation for a while now, beneath the Warriors-led initial discussion of the good amount of penalties they must impose upon him whilst he's injured. That is the surface stuff. The real murmurings around the league, are that if Warriors colossus Robert Rowell is not careful, Ellis could eventually decide to make his own judgement. In fact, one source indicated this week that Ellis and his representatives informed the Warriors on at least one occasion recently that if the Warriors would like to void the $66M deal, they should go ahead and do it and Ellis will move on with his career.

The Warriors still have not decided whether Ellis will feel that lesson in his wallet as well.

The saga surrounding the left ankle of Warriors guard Monta Ellis has taken a step toward a conclusion. The has found out that Ellis admitted that to the Warriors that he was not truthful about how he hurt his ankle, and the 2 sides are in talks about how to put the situation behind them.

The Warriors got their 2nd dose of bad news this offseason when they discovered Monta Ellis will miss at least a month of the upcoming season with an ankle injury. Chris Mullin mentioned training camp was going to be an important part of Ellis' development as a point guard, however Ellis was going to get help bringing the ball up court from Stephen Jackson and Marcus Williams.

The Warriors completed their mission of retaining their top 2 young players by reaching an agreement with Andris Biedrins on a 6 year, $63 million deal Sunday. The Warriors had signed Monta Ellis, 22, Thursday to a 6 year, $67 million deal, and now they have come to terms with Biedrins, 22, avoiding a negotiations competition with some European clubs that showed interest in the 6 foot 11 center. Biedrins flew to the Bay Area Sunday, as stated by his agent Bill Duffy, and plans to sign the contract today.

The Golden State Warriors made sure they could have Monta Ellis in their backcourt at least for the near future, re-signing the explosive guard to a 6 year deal worth about $66 million Thursday.

The Warriors, wanting to spare Monta Ellis from inheriting all of Baron Davis' minutes at point guard, are seriously thinking about signing Philadelphia guard Louis Williams to an offer sheet.

Whilst the Knicks continue to wait for Chris Duhon to accept or reject their offer, another interesting scenario is starting to surface involving Monta Ellis, the dynamic young guard for the Golden State Warriors. Ellis, 22, a restricted free agent, is starting to draw a good deal of attention in several sign and trade scenarios.
