Crazy idea that probably would never happen, but I'll share it.
Rockets get Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka, Dion Waiters, Steven Adams, and a first round pick
Thunder get Dwight Howard, James Harden, and Donatas Motiejunas
I think it's a somewhat fair trade, all though I'd have to say it favors the Thunder. They reunite Russell Westbrook and James Harden to form the best back court in the NBA (Even better than Steph Curry and Klay Thompson). They also bring in a player who when healthy is easily a top 5 center in the league. Motiejunas would also be a worthy starter on this team. Their starting five would be incredible:
C:Dwight Howard
PF:Donatas Motiejunas
SF:Perry Jones
SG:James Harden
PG:Russell Westbrook
If Durant were healthy, this trade would be more fair. Durant's foot issue definitely hurts his trade value, but I've heard that he's expected to fully recover after this surgery. When healthy, he's a top three player in the league with the potential to get even better. Harden has developed into as good of an offensive player as Durant, but Durant is elite defensively as well. He only has a year left on his contract, but Houston is a pretty big market and Durant played college ball at Texas so I don't see why he wouldn't re-sign. Durant would also remain teammates with several of his OKC pals: Serge Ibaka, Dion Waiters, and Steven Adams.

I feel like this starting five has a good blend of defense and offense. The Rockets could also use Beverly, Trevor Ariza, and their additional first rounder as trade bait for an upgrade at PG. Waiters would develop into a good scorer alongside Durant and can be a very good defender when he wants to be. Ibaka is an underrated player. He's athletic as anyone in the league and is continuing to develop offensive skills. He's already an elite defender, but has the potential to be an elite offensive player as well. I was high when I came up with the idea and typed this, so tell me how I did.
