You can stop wasting your time dreaming about this. I like how you bothered to include 3 2nd rounders like that is going to make any kind of difference.

The Sixers wouldn't take Rubio if he was offered to them for free. He's never even come close to being a .400 shooter and has a franchise destroying contract starting next season at $13.75 mil per year for four years.

So the trade boils down to Embiid for Shabazz. I like Shabazz, but not at the price of Embiid.

Rubio was actually much better shooting the ball after he came back from his first injury, and his contract is not franchise destroying, he makes a huge impact whenever he is on the floor. So quit acting like he is the worst point guard in the league, he is a great defender and playmaker and the only thing he needs to learn how to do is shoot and he has already gotten much better at that

Yea right wolvesfan. Rubio is cheeks. He won't even start over ish smith.

Rubio has little no value for us. Embiid is thirty times better value right now. So no.

@76ers Do you watch basketball? Or do you just listen to the media?

Rubio was second in steals, 4th in assists, is one of the better rebounding point guards in the league, and the Wolves scored something like 13 more ppg when he was on the court last season. Just because he doesn't score at a high rate doesn't make him a terrible player.

I understand that he has more value to the Wolves because of his contract but the 76ers would love to have him running their offense. And quit acting like Embiid is the next Hakeem, he hasn't played a minute in the NBA and he is coming off of injury, while also showcasing a lack of maturity

He's MCW that shoots worse and has a contract 5 times the size. Why trade for that guy when they can get Grant in the draft between 11-15? Plus Rubio seems to be injury prone. He's only played more than 57 games once in his 4 years.

Lets face the facts, the Wolves had 5th and 6th picks in that 2009 draft and took two point guards back to back. Jonny Flynn has bounced around Europe and Rubio you're trying to trade. Do you know who was the 7th pick in that draft? Stephen Curry- the guy that might be MVP this year. And there was also Brandon Jennings, Ty Lawson, Jeff Teague and Jrue Holiday. Heck, they probably could have traded 5 and 6 to move up to 3 and gotten James Harden.

So no, don't depend on the Sixers to bail the Wolves out of a bad draft and a bad contract.

Wolvesfan
yea I do watch lot of basketball. Nobody from Philly watches your crappy wolves. Rubio sucks and if u say he's so good then why don't u keep him? Its because he's cheeks. And what u said about embiid is stupid. No sixers fans are comparing him to Hakeem just fans from other teams. he's a lot differ than him and the only thing they have in common is that they use the dream shake. Sixers don't want Rubio running our offense.

08 Apr 2015 16:25:36
I don't want to trade Rubio and there have been absolutely no rumors of the team wanting to trade him either.

And the Wolves would definitely be better than the sizes if they weren't destroyed by injuries this year so you really shouldn't be the one to talk about bad teams. And you do treat Embiid like the next Hakeem in what you think his trade value is.

@Phillyrich
The only thing MCW does better than Rubio is score, Rubio gets more steals, assists, and actually shoots a much better free throw %. And he doesn't really shoot that much better. I will admit that he seems to be injury prone but hopefully that stops after this year as two of his first seasons lost mostly due to his act tear. And was it really necessary to to bring up a draft that all Wolves fans regret? We all know Khan was terrible but Rubio can absolutely be worth his contract.

@Phillyrich1
Also Rubio played all 82 games last season and played in 57 games his 2nd year after recovering from his acl year in the end of his rookie year. So it was only one injury that caused him to miss large chunks of two seasons because of when it happened, this year he has seemed injury prone though so I will give that to you

Wolves:

Sixers want to be careful of contracts. Since they have draft picks lined up, they also can develop a roster with a vision in mind. I think that vision is that the PG can shoot. Not a lot, but with efficiency. So for those reasons, I'd count out Rubio as a Sixer.

I know, its hard to find the exact guy to get. That's why its hard to trade in the NBA. There really aren't that many guy's I'd really, really want.

@phillyrich1

I'd agree with on that
