Sixers and Wolves say no.

Wolves pay the most and don't even get the best player back.

Selling a high draft pick and a good prospect for George and his big contract wouldn't fit with the 76ers plans

There is no way Paul George is fetching that. Unless by Paul George, you meant Anthony Davis or Kevin Durant.

From Sixers standpoint, they're trading Embiid (last year's #3 pick, who they've patiently waited on for a year), and this year's top pick (probably Russell or Mudiay) for Dieng, who is a 10pt, 8 rebound guy and Paul George, who was getting 18/game last year before he broke himself.

Why would they do that?

It seems to be harder to get bigs that can dominate than smalls. Embiid should be way better than Dieng. And while I like a healthy George, I'd rather have my pick this year.

If I really wanted George, I'd try to sign him as a RFA at the end of this year. Sixers have cap space so there's no need to sign and trade unless Pacers force it. I might use the Miami and/or OKC pick(s) to make that happen, not the #3 pick.

How quickly people forget what complete player George was, so many people on this board look Durants stats not realize the value of defense and that is what wins championship. defensively George > Durant and offensively Durant > George. match them up they even. injury wise they are now even too

The Sixers cnat give up the those picks. Way to much from Sixers. Either Embiid or the pick. Not both.

Phillyrich are you kidding? First off George was averaging about 22/7/3.5 and 2 steals. He's 24. He was a top five MVP. 2 time all star. Defensive stud. And he broke himself? He had a clean break in his leg. Busting a knee or as embiid has done, breaking your foot or hurting your back is breaking yourself. Every team in the league would jump on this if it means getting paul George. He is a center piece and proven in this league. Embiid can do dunks in warm up lines. Get realistic.

Pizza. Paul George is an unknown too. He broke his leg. He's just as much an unknown as Embiid in my opinion. But I'd love to get paul George. I'd take a shot on a young mvp anyday. But I'm not giving up the entire rebuild for an unknown. I'd do half. Our first rounder or Embiid. Not both.

Great. I love Paul George. Holy crap, look at that contract. That takes away the Sixers flexibility in building going forward.

When the Sixers are ready to make their run in a couple years he'll be near the end of the deal and making $19-20mil per season.

I'm building my Sixers through patience and the draft. If I can bring in the right guy without destroying my plan, great. Otherwise, no thank you.

I see how everyone now wants to trade for Embiid. There's a reason for that. No other team was willing to wait the year. Now every team wants to have the benefit of his play without the pain of waiting the year.

Sorry. The Sixers did not draft him to get him healthy only to move him along.

The Sixers are ready to move forward. The Pacers are stuck where the Sixers were- right in the middle.

Sixers need to find their own superstars in the draft not in free agency. And that's what Hinkie is trying to do.

76es FIB: Completely agree. That's why when I propose a trade its typically shifting draft spots in order for another team to get what I think they want and the Sixers picking up a player in return. The strength of the Sixers is the two BIGS. In their draft spot, someone should want to move up and get a big, WCS, that the Sixers don't need. Watch for rumors to swirl around WCS and how teams want to trade up to get him. Someone should be creating a buzz to imply competition to move up to 3 to get him, bettering the Sixers position to trade down. Anyhow, that's my working theory.
