Pelicans clear up depth and excess salary at the SG position and get a late 1st rounder.

Sixers get a solid SG who's not that old and distributes the ball. Not wild about his contract. But he fits what I want in my back court.

Spurs get a young Wroten and clear a spot for Aldridge signing.

Not bad. Good thought process.

Splitter is useless to Pelicans,,would need a SF in deal

Asik is a free agent this summer and would demand more than splitter's salary while producing pretty similar numbers.

Sixers don't want average player. Evans is mediocre. So they say no.

TreGib - Evans is pretty solid. What you expecting? The best player at every position or 1,000,000 draft picks with potential to be great? Doesn't work. Can't go wrong with a solid proven player with a few years experience to back it up.

Tom: I agree. Evans is a pro. The Sixers are going to need some of those guys just to get the youth through the season. Plus, Evans is local.

I"m not saying do this trade, but its the right idea.

Toms bakery and philly rich.

The Sixers are after stars not average players. O and did I mention he's on terrible deal?? He eleven million a year for four more years!! And in 2018 he get 15 million. Forget this guy. He's garbage for the price tag. You guys are nuts to want to take on that bad deal.

TreGib - If the only players you ever take on are going to be 'stars', you're never going to have a team. Basketball doesn't work like that. Look at the role he plays for the pels now & tell me he's not a very solid player.

Also with the cap going up, having a guy who averaged 16.6PPG, 6.6AST & 5.5RBD's a game this year & can also play multiple positions, doesn't sound like a bad deal. Especially considering he'd be joint leading scorer, would lead the team in assists & be joint second in rebounds.
