1. No big time FA is going to the Lakers. Their era of attracting stud talent is over since they no longer have the great player to attract others. If a FA wants to go to LA, they'll choose the Clippers.
2. Charlotte is not trading a 1st round pick for Swaggy P and an old David West (and his $12m contract).
3. I don't think the Lakers will trade their top 5 pick and Julius Randle for Paul George when they can have Randle plus a top rookie to build on.
4. You have Indiana trading Paul George, David West and his contract and getting Lance Stevenson, Randle, and two first round picks. Come on, man.
Besides that, I really like the trade.

I could be wrong but in the above trade, the Pacers part of this is they trade away Paul George (to the Lakers) and David West (to Hornets) and what the Pacers receive back is Lance Stevenson, Julius Randle, and 1st round picks from the Lakers and the Hornets. That seems like a lopsided windfall to me, considering 34 year old David West and his $12m contract might not be an asset at this point.
And why would the Hornets want West and his $12m contract? Wouldn't he just get in the way of Noah Vonleh's development?
