USA. Great trade. Love it as a sixer fan, and seems fair all around

USA only a sixers fan would love this. Fair only to them. Well done!

Why would the Sixers trade the Lakers essentially unprotected pick plus the Miami pick plus Wroten for Oladipo?

First, I think people undervalue Wroten. Oladipo's stats are better than Wroten's, but barely.

Second, I"m not trading TWO first rounders for that differential.

Third, the Lakers pick is a much sought after commodity in the league.

I'd rather go with Russell and Wroten and have my two first rounders to use as chips in the 2016 draft to move up and get the player I want.

Wroten is injury prone (played less than half a season 2 of 3 years), wroten LOVES turnovers(almost 4 a game) HORRIBLE 3pt shooter(23%) and not good free throw(65%). Yeah, I think be are very accurate on their assessment of Wroten's worth. Not to mention Olidapo is an all around stud. Reliable shooter. And progressing FAR better. Olidapo is someone a franchise can build around. Wroten. good luck.

You might be right about Wroten, Pizza. But trading that Lakers pick is a big deal. That pick was/is very desirable throughout the league. I read a pretty solid write up about it from the Phoenix perspective when they moved it to the Bucks (and then onward to the Sixers for MCW). Its very unusual to have a pick floating around with such little protection of a team that's not a contender.

So, again, my reasoning about that pick is its value, not according to me, but according to the professionals in the league.

As I said, Oladipo is better than Wroten. But I'm not paying the Lakers pick and the Miami pick for the differential. I think I can wait a year and use those two picks to move up in next year's draft and get (maybe) an Oladipo quality player and still have Wroten coming off my bench.
