Tony Wroten will probably be a good 6th man on the Sixers when its all said and done. I don't think they want to move him for 2 2nd rounders, especially since they have a ton of 2nd rounders already. And there's no compelling reason to trade Wroten from the Sixers standpoint. If they get knocked over with an offer they cannot refuse, they'd probably trade him. But 2 2nd rounders is not that offer.

The Knicks have some real problems. The could straggle near the bottom of the league for awhile having already committed their 1st rounder next year in a complicated deal between Denver and Toronto. The do have some cap room but only 6 players on their roster signed for 2015 and $32 mil committed to them.

Also, the Knicks have traded their 2nd rounders all the way through 2019, with the Sixers already possessing the Knicks 2018 and 2019 2nd rounders- although they do have some 2nd rounders in the bank from Cleveland and Houston.

Lol Knicks will be juuuuust fine. Sixers fans need not feel bad for them. But all Knicks fans appreciate it lol

You're right, Pizza. The Knicks will probably finish in the Eastern Conf Finals next year. They're loaded with talent, current and future picks and free agents want to play with their young, up and coming star, Carmelo Anthony.

Sixers fans do not feel bad for them. Sixers fans understand exactly the position they're in. Been there, done that.

A) if Phil pays Danny Green $12M/yr, Dolan should fire him on the spot.

B) can't trade a pick you don't own. 2018 is the first 1st round pick the Knicks can trade.

C) you trade that 1st you can't trade for Lee, but then he doesn't appear anywhere in the rotation.

D) why do we want Wroten, he'll bring the stink of losing with him.

Phillyrich, sixers are currently in a toxic environment. Years of losing. Players that clearly aren't on the team to win. The Knicks, well they can actually attract people. While I'm sure your disagree, I have a hard time thinking a Knicks line up of Calderon, hard away, melo, Monroe and okafor. Plus plugging in perhaps a rondo or dragic on at pg would result in less than top 6 in east. A position the sixers haven't been in in over a decade. You were AWFUL this year. And all you potentially add is what? A draft pick and embiid. Let's say each player adds 6 wins alone. Quite a lot for rookies. You still are awful. I'll put my money on the city of ny. Phil Jackson. And melo attracting winners as opposed to philadelphias highly publicized toxic culture.

Phillyrich, you consistantly speak like you are from a position and rich history of success. I merely stated you need not worry about the knicks, seeing as you have been worse than them EVERY year since 08-09. that's 6 years ago, just an fyi. AND that was your best year by far, which was 41-41. So you haven't had a winning record in quite sometime.

Now, look at the knicks, 2 years ago, second in the east. Behind only the heat. Since then, melo has played 1 year, rested/iniuried the other. The knicks finally got rid of amare. And now have a top 5 pick.

New York attracts talent, philly doesnt. I would love to hear of any stars that chose philly in the past 20 years. Say what you want about melo, he's still better than everyone on the sixers. If the knicks get lucky and get towns, i'd say HE is better than anyone on the sixers. If they get okafor, i'd take him and his health over anyone on the sixers. Throw into the mix that most likely greg monroe is coming(24 year old stud), and the potential for a pg like dragic or rondo, because rememnber. THEY BOTH LOVE NY.

So you try and convince yourself that:

russell, wroten, a sf no one knows, noel, and embiid if he ever stays healthy is better than say, dragic, hardaway, melo, monroe and towns or okafor. Add onto that that the following two years the knicks can add 1 or 2 more top players. and they will come because even though you think it doesn't matter, being new york, having phil jackson and playing in the garden does matter. With the NBA transforming into the money machine it is, this favors teams like the knicks, NOT philly. because again, NO ONE wants to go there. The culture is toxic (i took your advice and googled it, it wasnt pretty), there is no winning culture and I live in philly. the fans are MISERABLE.

So yes, keep your pity, unlike the sixers and their 8 year rebuilding plan that keeps getting pushed back. the knicks can rebuild. FAST

Pizza: The Sixers have been in a bad environment. That was the Collins era. They cleaned house and are rebuilding. Its not easy. But they've previously been in the middle of the pack and that's no place to be in the NBA. I'm not getting into a pissing battle with you about the Knicks. Could really care less. I have never implied that the Sixers are coming from a position of success. You hear that but I don't say that. They are trying to change the culture of the team to be of effort, teamwork, defense, intensity and success. Brett Brown has done a pretty good job there. To change the culture you have to turn over just about every player. The culture in Philly and the lockeroom is not toxic. But one more year of roster-roulette and that could quickly change. They would even lose me.

And not to be detail oriented, but the Sixers have not been worse than the Knicks every year since 08-09. like, for example, this past year.

As for NY attracting talent, they might. If Melo gets healthy, shares the ball, gets his legs back, can last a full season, they get one of the big guys in the draft, attract a stud or two, and Hardaway progresses, they could be pretty good. I DON"T CARE. NOT EVEN A LITTLE. I barely knew who was in the playoffs this year because I was watching the Sixers and not looking at any other team- much less the Knicks.

I'm focusing only on the Sixers. And I full well understnd that they also have some big ifs. But this is the course of action they've selected. I've embraced the suck for two years. Now its time to see if humpty dumpty can be put back together again. They have a plan- for better or worse.
