Won't get rondo for that low. And I don't believe you have that much money for everyone else. Sorry. Numbers don't work.

18 May 2015 14:47:09
They actually do I counted all the salarys by the way so they do work and rondo isn't worth more than 10 mill because he's not the decline and can't shoot

The lakers have approximately 23 million in cap space next year. Potentially 26-27 if they renounce some of their minimum contracts but there's no point to do that. So assume they have 23 million to sign free agents and fill out their roster. You aren't getting rid of nick youngs contract. Sorry, he's just worthless and no one wants to deal with him. So you have 23 million. Rondo will get around 10-12 mil for 3 years. You can say he isn't worth that, but he is. becasue people will pay it. Including the lakers and the knicks. So you have 14 mill for Carrole, 16 mill for love, 10 mil(or as you say 6 mil) for rondo. that's 36-40 mil. Their cap space is about 23 mill. Again, how did you add up these numbers and make them work?

18 May 2015 17:43:41
Kobe = $25M
Young = $5M
Randle =$5M
Davis = $1M (I think I read he's planning on opting out)
Clarkson = $980k
Black = $989K

With Young, total committed = $38M
Without Young, total committed = $33M
Cap is projected at $67.1M leaving Lakers between $29M - $34m in cap space to spend. $6 for Rondo, $ 16 for Love, $12.5 for Middleton or Carroll = $34.5M.

And how many players is that again? Those numbers aren't accurate either. There are cap holds from prior contracts. Don't just add the salaries. There is a tad more that goes into it. It won't work. You will be keeping young. And rondo isn't going to sign with the lakers and make as little as young does. It's dillusional at best.

18 May 2015 23:23:22
Who has cap holds?

18 May 2015 23:33:20
Kobe 25 mill
Randle 3.1 mill
Young 5 mill
Black clarkson 850k each
Take out young and its 30 mill so 67-30=37 mill
Rondo gets 6 first year so 37-6=31mill love 4 yrs 70 mill 16 mill first year 31-16=15 mill middeltom gets 13-15 mill and resign Davis and then sign draft picks

These numbers don't work. You have a top 5 pick. Does he sign a minimum contract because he's a laker? Young isn't going anywhere. Google search cap space for lakers. It's under 30 million. That's if they get rid of all free agents. Then another 5 mill or so for the draft pick. Down to about 23 million. How is this so hard to figure out? Every report has lakers able to sign at most 1 max. I don't understand why you think the lakers can bend the rules and sign everyone. Everyone will take less money. And draft picks salaries don't count against the cap. Look this up if you don't believe me. After signing all draft picks you got about 23 mill. Sorry.

19 May 2015 01:45:27
They can go over the cap to sign their own draft pick. he won't factor into their cap space

19 May 2015 03:43:15
You sign draft picks after free agency whenever you want and the 4 pick gets only 3 mil in the first year so stop using Google and get your facts straight and some team needing scoring would take young
