In confused. Sixers give up lakers 2016 pick and get walker and Stephenson? Are you serious?

04 Jun 2015 22:19:49
I don't Kemba Walker fits in Philly. Isn't he like a 35% shooter? We had that and traded it for the Lakers pick that you have the Sixers trading away.

With all the picks the Sixers have, I think they'll be more selective in who they acquire.

Good idea though. Haven't seen anything like that before.

Of course I would want this for the sixers but damn. There is no way sixers will get that for lakers pick.

05 Jun 2015 04:33:04
why would they even trade for walker if they are planning to take Russle

05 Jun 2015 14:37:55
You guys love this from Sixers perspective?

Kemba Walker shoots worse than MCW and is small. Lance Stevenson is a SG that launched at the rate of .171 from 3pt range and is also a worse shooter than MCW.

With all the draft picks the Sixers have, why not be more selective?

I think next year both the Sixers and Laker picks are in the top 10. They can use the OKC and Miami picks to move forward in the draft from there- possibly winding up with two picks in the top 7.

And even if this trade did happen, why pick Winslow at 3?

Walker was an all star point guard caliber player early in the year before he got hurt. I've been watching him since his UCONN days and he's shooting around 35 percent which isn't bad but he's only 24 and has room to improve

05 Jun 2015 16:41:02
Walker's FG % was .385. "which isn't bad"?

Here's how bad it is: He's #390 of 482. And you know who's below him at #400? Lance Stevenson.

As for 3Pt FG%, he's #263, about in the middle of the pack. Stevenson- a SG- is #360.

So yes, there's plenty of room to improve. I'll keep my Lakers pick for now and see what else comes my way.

Oh wait, there's more good news. Stevenson has 2 years on his contract for a total of $18mil. Walker has 4 years and $48 mil.

So now the deal from Sixers perspective is two guys that are average to below average shooters (we have plenty of them) and contract obligations of $60mil for a very lightly unprotected 1st rounder that will probably be in the top 10 next year.

Now do you want these guys?

05 Jun 2015 17:10:32
I said his 3 point percentage was 35 and Stephenson has never been a great shooter but they can create here own shot and lance has a team option for next year which you can decline

05 Jun 2015 17:20:42
Lakers say no even though I like vonleh a lot him and our own pick are no t worth maybe two potential all stars for our pick back especially if we get a top tier talent but I doubt that highly

05 Jun 2015 17:56:21
Oh, King, by the way, you are quoted elsewhere asying "Wroten can't shoot" yet you have Walker above as a 35% shooter, "which isn't bad."

Wroten's FG% last year was 40.3%. And Wroten is only 22 "and has room to improve."

So again, why give up that Lakers pick?

05 Jun 2015 18:55:31
No King. ". I've been watching him since his UCONN days and he's shooting around 35 percent which isn't bad but he's only 24 and has room to improve"

And: his 3pt shooting is at 30.4%.

Nice try.

So lakers give up clarkson and Randel and get their top three protect pick back next year and a young player in Noah vonle?? Typical lakers trade idea.
