The lakers would never trade #2, Randle and clarkson to move back two spots for an injury prone volume scorer. We already have one don't need another

I still don't get why everyone is calling him injury prone? He has played in like 80-85% of possible career games. Worst year of his career was this year, where he still played half the year. And volume scorer? He averages for his career 25.5 pts, off 45.5% fg, 35% 3pt and over 81% ft. They shut him down because the team was all injuried and they tanked. its not like he's so far removed from elite levels. Heck, last year he was 27.4 pts, 8.1 rb. and he played in 77 games. i'm pretty content with the knicks keeping melo and building around him. He isn't a bruiser of a player. He will have quite a few more years based off his style of play. And he can transition to pf as time progresses. People need to simmer on labeling him injuried and washed up. Its just funny at this point

Finally I see where your loyalties are. You're always quick to bash everybody on here and their teams, but I never heard which team you aligned yourself with. I'd be hesitant to call myself a Knicks fan too.

Finally I agree on something with Pizza lol

I have never said I wasnt a knicks fan. I've actually made it quite clear i'm a knicks fan that lives in philly. So yeaaaa, no real understanding what you are talking about. Ignores the main point. he isn't injruy prone, and he scores efficiently. So why are people acting differently? Randle wasnt expected to be that good. he was 6th, undersized, slow, plays no D. And clarkson. he had stats for a horrible team. I wouldn't bet the farm on a guy who averages 11pts, 3 boards, 3 assists on a terrible team that had basically no one else playing. Knicks would never make this trade. Melo is our guy. And most knicks fans are quite alright with that!

That's great, as a laker fan, I don't want that black hole and team cancer on the Lakers. He's not capable of winning. I'd take my chances with Randle, Clarkson, and the #2 this year. They have potential and it's unknown what you're going to get in 5 years. We already know what you get with Melo on your team. A selfish guy who sits out games, but plays big minutes in the all star game and then goes under the knife to resolve a knee injury. Sounds like a team player.

17 Jun 2015 21:45:57
Mmmhmm, I guess you ignored the prior part of it being ridiculous to sensationalize a publicized down year and use that to sum up an entire career. But kudos to you. FYI, if you are a lakers fan, you should realize your team doesn't sit back and pray some prospect turn into far more than they are expected to be. But I guess that wouldn't really help your cause on this one. So well ignore the past 30 years of the organization ;)

This is bad pairing Randle and Vucevic and Harris with Okafor creates the same problem no rim protection or floor spacing. That's why the Magic play Harris at sf and played dedmon at pf this year.

17 Jun 2015 22:55:12
Randle is not slow and talk about undersized he's 6 foot nine. Draymond green is 6 foot 7 Jabari Parker will play four and he's 6 foot 8 Paul millsap is 6 foot 8 Thad young is 6 foot 8.Clarkson didn't win first team all rookie for a reason he can pass rebound and drive e lane and in his last 26 games he averaged 17 points 5 Rebs 5 assists. We mortgage our future for a guy worried about playing the all star game than playing for his own team! We trade 3 future all stars for an overpaid scorer

The knee injury and the fact he sat a bunch of games to rest it for the all star game before he had surgery was this last year, you are correct. But the ball dominance, bad teammate, locker room cancer, and not a winner is the summation of his whole career including his days in DEN.

About waiting on the prospects; the Lakers usually don't have picks because they would trade them away for established players. When they have had picks, they've had success. Van Exel, Fisher, Kobe (traded for him in draft day), M Gasol (who they traded for Pau), Vlade, Bynum, Magic, etc. I don't really get your point here.

18 Jun 2015 12:23:37
Pizzas point about waiting on draft picks was directed as a knock on the sixers, who have nothing to do with this post. He just bashes them whenever possible. sad, sad troll.

18 Jun 2015 15:04:44
We barely have draft picks like the Knicks so he shouldn't be talking
