Why Knicks do it
Knicks need to win now they need a wing who can penetrate the d in the triangle and I don't think Phil has the patience to let a college kid
develope derozan gives them another star who needs a fresh place he can play multiple positions and take pressure off of Melo (who's do for a big year) Munroe and derozan r not great defenders but they r young enough to buy into schemes and become better defenders if the money was there I would bring in pat Beverley as a defensive ace on perimeter and Danny green as a shut down defender carrol would be the Ron arrest of the team the great wing defender Phil alway used to bring in and despite people saying the center position is dead it's not if u can have a guy put up 12 and 15 a night thts huge for a team

Why the Sixers do it the Sixers need bodies so they can tank more at the end of the day calderone could help whatever young project they draft hill can help Noel down low and is money off book next year and hardaway Jr could be the best player on the roster next year lol for two 2nd pics why not

It's a win for everybody I think the Knicks could go far in the east with derozan Melo Munroe and Carroll at least make the second round maybe go further then Phil can just keep bringing the free agents in but with a healthy Melo this Knicks team could of pushed Atlanta Washington and the bulls this year and I don't think Melo would play Iso ball with these teammates even LeBron played Iso with shumpert and Smith so I don't think Melo had a choice

And for dude up a couple comments you don't know okafor will be a terrible defender he was asked to do it all on offense and lay back on defense at duke teammates and coaches from duke have agreed on that randle is in terrific shape he's going to be versatile u haven't seen this guy in shape he could be a draymond green type player trust me I wish I could add butler and have Ross coming off the bench but the team I have down would be exciting with a good bench and if it stayed healthy they could probably make the playoffs
