76ers possible trades.
Miami at #10, OKC at #14, Cleveland at #24, Lakers at #27, Celtics at #28, and GSW at #30 all rumored to want to get out of there current spots for salary reasons. I think sixers, with their cap flexibility and 5 second round picks this year, should acquire one, if not two, of these picks. And the sixers have the rights to Miami's #1 and OKC's #1 next year. Possible trades.
1. sixers / heat: sixers trade heat #1 next year and pick #35 and #58 this year to Miami for heats #1 this year(pick 10), birdman, and chalmers(combine $9.3 mill in cap relief). cut birdman and chalmers.

2. Sixers trade OKC's #1 next year and pick #37 this year to OKC for thunder pick this year(pick 14), novak and lamb(combine $7 mill in cap relief). Cut novak and keep lamb.

3. Sixers trade #10, #14, and Denvers own second rounder next year to Denver for pick #7.

4. Sixers draft Russell at #3, and Hezonja at #7.

5. Sign Kosta Koufas as FA.

pg: Russell, wroten, ish
sg: Hezonja, lamb, McCrae
sf: Grant/Covington, mbahamoute
pf: Noel, TRob, aldemir
C: Embiid, Koufas

*still have own #1 and Lakers #1 next year, plus saric when he finally comes over.*

I love it as a Sixers fan and I feel its pretty fair for all teams. Idk if Denver would want to drop out of top 10 but maybe. If I was Sixers I would actually keep lamb as a bench player.

Good trades for all teams PHI isn't a attraction for FAs so they have to go through the draft and take in a couple a high contract players with the cap they have

The problem is the heat and the thunder are both not running by fools. The both clearly know this year was a down year for both organizations and next years picks will be no where near where these are. Thunder will have Durant return. let's not forget he won the MVP last year. So odds are, instead of being the 14th pick, itll be closer to 28 or so. So offering the 28th pick in next years draft and 37 in this years plus a little bit of cap relief doesn't at all make sense for the 14th pick.

Then miami. their top paid player missed most of the year but should return. They clearly have talent. So assume wade stays, which is definitely possible. Dragic, Wade, Whtieside, Bosh. they definitely can compete in the East. AKA, their pick will probably be closer to 22-25. let's say 22 for sake of argument. 22nd pick in next years draft, 2 d-league picks in this years draft and cap relief(fyi, people would trade for those two players) will not get you the 10th pick.

Then you combine the 10 and 14, which you won't get, and a 2nd rounder in next years draft for the 7.

While it's interesting and well thought out, it's not even close to realistic. You just laughed at the ridiculous trade the celtics offered the sixers. these trades are ridiculous to everyone but the sixers. If this year was replicated next year, it is good trades. But everyone, including sixers fans, realize that the lakers, the thunder, the heat. they will all be much improved next year. Sorry, just true.

I agree with you pizza to a certain extent. The difference is this. Miami and OKC are in poor bargaining positions due to salary issues and high priced max players already on the rosters, and sixers hold both teams #1 picks next year. Philadelphia purposely set themselves up to be in a positive position for moves like this. teams like to have their own picks, having as much say as possible for the potential outcomes, adding a bit more value to the respective teams. Although I do not agree with all of the tactics in this rebuild, this is one that may work out. i'm not saying this has a tremendous chance of happening, but philly is in a better bargaining position with Miami and OKC then any other team. just a thought.

Nice job here. It makes a lot of sense.

They aren't really in a better barganing position. The thunder would FAR prefer having someone else's 1st rounder than theirs. Same with the Heat. Figure this. they both are NOT in tank mode. AKA, why would they consider next year picks much value. The better they do, the less value they are. So honestly. i'd say it is quite the opposite. i'm not making a jab at the sixers. but they clearly have been tanking to get great picks the last couple years. Heat and thunder absolutely aren't doing that. So for the injury ridden year where they have a fluke terrible record. they would LOVE these picks. So really. the first round picks for each of those teams next year are not work much.

If I was the thunder or the heat, i'd far prefer getting basically anyone elses 1st rounder for next year. At least that way you can try for a great record AND still have a chance for some value.

That may have sounded like a rant. but it makes sense.

#1 Koufas would never sign here and I wouldn't want him
#2 Nuggets would likely not trade #7 and I don't think hezonjas there
-Kings may do this if we take on jason thompson's contract
#3 I wouldn't resign Ish, he'll probably want playing time that he won't get behind russell/wroten
#4 I wouldn't resign Mbah a moute unless embiid isn't playing next season then i'd keep him around to start at the 4 and keep embiid happy
