Agreed with kiks. Why would the knicks ever do this? Absolutely does not fit their scheme or plan.
On top of this, Noel is not a reliable full time center. At least at this point, he is way to thin. He will not be able to bang against people like Marc Gasol or any of the centers nowadays that are 260+. Just a bad trade.

Noel is a tough loss but your replacing him with prozingus. Covington would even out the cost for philly to get the fourth pick.
But all in all. Sixers pass. Prozingus is a five year project the Knicks had to to take A shot on. Grant looks completely average at best. Probably below average at this point. Sixers keep the proven NBA player in Noel and Covington instead.

Or, to put it another way King, Noel and Covington for a guy they passed on in the draft and a guy they probably could have traded up to get at 19?
BTW: I like Grant. I'm not sold on Zinger. He has a Rik Smits look to him.

Did they trade up? No. Porzingas has a lot more potential than Noel.

No king. The Sixers passed on Zinger this year. They could have just drafted him.
Its not going to happen anyhow. Noel's staying. And Jackson degraded any trade value Zinger had on draft night when he called him a project. (not in those exact words)
Wouldn't the Knicks just take a first rounder for Grant and we can leave Noel and Zinger out of this?
