76ers / Suns
Markief Morris, working out in Philly suburb, has just demanded a trade from Phoenix. This handcuffs Sun's, and drops his trade value tremendously. This guy, like I said earlier, may be the only guy in the nba who will force a trade to philly if he can.

Sixers get Morris
Sun's get Holmes(promising young Pf a steal picked #37 this year, lots of upside), future second rounder, and Landry.

Embiid definitely out this year, and Saric at least a year, maybe two more in Europe. Okafor, Noel, Morris rotation very skilled, very young, and very promising.

Gotta think Suns Mgt has had Morris deals working for some time. You're right that any deal is almost a good one to get him out of PHX. Sure you want this guy in Phila?

Not enough.

Morris
for
Landry & '16 OKC 1st

I really don't think it handcuffs Phoenix. Morris is a young talented PF on a cheap contract. A lot of teams would love to have him. There is probably 5-10 teams interested in trading for him, Phoenix won't have to just accept a couple of second round picks for him.

Benmiller. The guy has felony assault charges against him, bad mouths his current organization, demands to be traded, and has shown great immaturity on and off the court. Which teams would" love to have him"? Michael Beasley puts up similar career numbers, and is about the same age. Miami doesn't want him back. Sun's will be lucky to get any value for him. Watch how this one shakes out.

Remember. this is the NBA we're writing about here. Crazy things happen all the time. and guys with bigger criminal records or bigger mouths than Markieff have bene moved to teasm who feel they are the ones that can straghten him out. Being a Suns fan, I say to whoever gets Morris. good luck, you're going to need it.

12 Aug 2015 16:34:47
I don't think philly need Morris. Yes maybe this year they could use him but definately they don't need him long term. I wouldn't give up much for him. Maybe a 2nd rounder. That's it.

12 Aug 2015 17:51:49
Tregib. The deal I proposed is close to the value you set. Landry is a negative, canceling out the future second rounder(which could be a late 2nd anyway). And Holmes was a second round pick this year. So to me it's kinda like Morris for Holmes.

This is the kind of "opportunity" the Sixers need to take a chance on. Nobody wants to come to philly, and if a good player like Morris can be had, Philly needs to get him. He put up 16 and 6 last year, no reason he can't do 17 and 7 this year. He can help draw the d out to free things up for okafor underneath. Maybe playing in a familiar spot with family around could help him out. I think it's worth the risk.

felony assault charges, which he plead not-guilty to and most likely gets off for. the demand for a trade, immaturity and bad mouthing the organization is all rooted in the organization convincing the twins to take a pay cut to sign for 4 years, and then splitting them in a salary dump. Beasley plays NO defense, and his issue is substance abuse. ENTIRELY different. While I am assuming Jvung is the psychic and know-all of this site. to say he has no value is laughable. He has no value, because you want him for your team and are trying to convince yourself and others that the sixers will get him for some kibbles and bits. Not happening.

Yes!!! Pizza is back!!! I thought I was going to seal with " the childKing" pressing the agree button over and over on all his posts. Pi,za, I agree with part of your post. I do want him on the Sixers for a reduced value. But I do think his value has taken a hard hit with his actions. Wether it's to philly or somewhere else, I just don't see phx getting much in return.

It would be interesting to see a Suns-Sixers trade for a disgruntled forward who's trying to talk himself out of town. Its the reverse image of the Charles Barkley situation. No, I'm comparing the talent and ability of Morris to Barkley. Just making a historical reference.

13 Aug 2015 14:45:12
Jvoug keep talking that name doesn't fit. I don't even press agree over and over again I press it once. Know your facts and keeping trying to get players for the low

13 Aug 2015 14:45:47
Never going to get a player to play for philly not even if they were born and raised there.

13 Aug 2015 14:46:55
There's a reason people are scared of sixers fans on this site but they shouldn't be. They just happen to wake up on the wrong side of the bed most days and post unbelievable stuff

13 Aug 2015 15:49:38
Thking. there is definitely some truth to your statements. I am an old, grumpy sixer fan. And I think this rebuild is a long, slow, painful process. But, I think Philly is headed in the right direction with Okafor and Noel, and a boat load of picks. And believe it or not, I think keef winds up in his hometown in the next 2 weeks.

13 Aug 2015 23:38:38
If your grumpy why do you take out on people on this site and scare them away. There's nothing out there about Morris to the sixers unless there's something on a sixers site or something. Also I'm not a kid just get that straight

14 Aug 2015 15:33:28
Theking. there isn't anything out there on Morris to any other team, but there is a ton of posts here about him. Not just mine to Philly. The name of the site is NBA trade rumors. How many actual proposed trades on this site happen??? None. Its all fun.
