Wroten, Covington, and a #1 pick is a bit much for Clarkson, and I really like Clarkson. Kelly is a waste, even the Sixers wouldn't want him. He's barely d_league material. Wroten averaged 17ppg and Covington 14ppg. Clarkson averaged 12ppg. Wroten is 22, Covington 24. Clarkson is 23. Two young guys plus a #1 pick for one guy is to high of a price to pay. But maybe something can be worked out to make this deal happen.

Sixer fans are already going to say no. Tregib doesn't want an "average point guard." Jvong will say to much value for him even though he wants him really bad. Philly rich will say that trading him for Covington creates another problem even though replacing a big one

It says first from lakers. Wroten is a worse fit next to Russell than clarkson is. Covington again is like Anthony brown. Lakers want clarkson and Russell together for 10-12 years

No. What Phillyrich is going to say is:
I like Clarkson but with all the draft choices stored up the Sixers can get their long term PG solution next year without having to give up Wroten and Covington plus a late 1st rounder.
Kelly is completely inconsequential to the Sixers since they have a big clunky PF on their bench already. So the trade of Wroten, Covington and a 1st for Clarkson is undeniably one sided.
So you, from the Lakers perspective don't want this deal. Sixers don't want this deal. So its a bad deal all around.

If you look at wroten compared to clarkson, wroten has been in the leauge for 3 years now while clarkson was just thrown into the fire. Wroten only played 30 games and started 15. Clarkson played 59 and started 38.

TreGib says that clarkson hasn't proven enough to warrent that return. Watching him play he's looked good but I'm not buying in just yet. He's talented but I have to see him play on a team with more weapons. This year should be a nice test for him. My bet is his numbers will drop considerably with Kobe and russle getting the ball more. Not to mention Randel who I think is completely underrated. Actually looking at the lakers roster again. I think they have a shot at the playoffs. It's all depending on Kobe though.

Please note that the above trade is not straight up Wroten for Clarkson. Its essentially Wroten plus Covington plus a late 1st rounder for Clarkson.
Wroten for Clarkson as a straight up swap is an interesting proposition. While Wroten seems to be a more explosive scorer (think 6th man) Clarkson would appear to be the more steady starting PG.
In reality, the idea situation would be for Clarkson, Wroten, and Covington to all be on the same team.

If you look at the trade it's says draft pick from la but for some reason he says la gets a pick. I was comparing clarkson to wroten because I've compared Covington numerous times. Tregib last year clarkson had weapons to pay with Lin boozer young Ellington. For the sixers it was whoever gets the ball scores. Again Kobe will let the young guys develop and not get in there way and won't play more than 60 games at the most.

I'm not a laker or philly fan. I just want clarkson off the Lakers and onto a team where he can build off last season. I don't think the guards LAL brought in fits well. But I can admit this is a bad trade idea. Maybe could've been t wroten & draft pick for clarkson

There only three legit guards on the lakers roster lou will Russell and clarkson. Kobe is playing small forward. So he's not a bad fit next to Russell. As long you don't post a clarkson trade I'm fine

Wroten's coming off of an ACL tear. No guarantees he'll be as quick and explosive. Any team who trades for him now for anything more than a late 1st rd pick is crazy.

Sorry just saw your response here. No clarkson has not played with a good team yet. Not even close. Lin overrated. Boozer too old to be productive and Ellington is an unknown right now. Were you joking? This year will be the nice test for clarkson. Can he play with a russle and Kobe, a 13 and 8 guy in Randel and hibbert who should bounce back this year. That not a terrible starting five.
