I actually think every team passes. Portland wants young talent. Minny just gets robbed, they're not just dumping salary needlessly. And Denver gets a sidegrade at best.

Why Minny got robbed? They would get rid of almost 20 mil in bad contracts, add fine players in Faried and Henderson and two good vets and Martin is 7 mil for one way player so only Shabazz is a young player with potential.

Bennet will end up being an expiring contract, so no worries there, if the Wolves trade Martin they want value for him. Faried makes as much as Pekovic and is overrated and they lose Muhammad. Wolves absolutely get robbed

As wolvesfan said. Here's the breakdown of the trade for minny in my eyes:
Pekovic and farried have similar value on similar contracts. Farried might have a tiny bit more value, but a straight up trade would be fair.
Martin and Henderson are kinda the same as above. Similar value on similar contracts. Martin has a bit more value, but not a lot.
Kaman and miller for Bennett is two expiring contracts of old men for one expiring contract of a young guy. I'd say this is a simple downgrade for minny. Why not keep Bennett one more year and see if he does anything?
So now your are at giving up shabazz for . nothing.

Faried has a bigger value than Pek. He is younger, healthier and it is a chance he will be a ok defender. Pek is way too often injured and a bad rim protector. That is a problem when he can only play 5 cause most good centers should be ok rim protectors. When you play at 4 your main goals does not include focusing on rim protection. Faried is also a high energy guy and not high on energy bars guy. But yeah, they offer many similar things.
Don't get me wrong I like Martin very much yet I would always get a 2 way player like Henderson.
And the thing with Bennett - it is doubtfull he will get some more playing time so this experiment will fail so maybe it is bettr to get two good vets.

Faried would be better suited as an energy guy off the bench, yes he stays healthier than Pekovic, but if Pek does stay healthy, he performs as well as, if not better than Faried in every way.
Miller and Kaman are not "good" vets any more, they are average to bad vets, and while I would still want them more than Bennett, I wouldn't want them at the price of Shabazz

Can farried stay healthy the next four years? High energy guys get hurt, he could easily have his career fall off.
Also, he's a bad defender. Defensively pek and farried are similarly bad.

Yet with Faried it is a small chance he will improve a bit and it is easier to find a 5 who will cover for him in that area. Finding a gooood defensive 4 that can do some good rim protection is a lot hader.
I absolutely agree with the high enery guy easily geting hurt. Good point. In case of a major injury Faried could become a way bad player.
