I don't think the Grizzlies would do it. Carter would be a nice pick up though.

Why wouldn't grizzles do it? They need scoring and at this point young is going to provide that more than carter

I like it, I think Cater's contract is only partially guaranteed for next year too, gives them flexibility.

They don't do it because everyone in the league know nick young is a volume bad shot taker. Yes he makes some of those terrible shots. Kelly is a nobody. At least carter has proven something in this league. In fact. Switch the postion a around. If you the grizzles. Is nick young better then carter?? No. You know nick young s a joke. You have watched him play I assume which is why your trading him.

People seem to forget that Nick young a season removed was coming of scoring 18 points and is a good three point shooter which is something grizzles could use. If he stays healthy he would do good and help the grizzles win for an aging carter

He did shoot 44 percent field goal and 39 percent from three in his contract year. The reason to trade him is how will he and Lou will fit. Carter will only help with three point shooting at this point of his career while Nick young is in his prime

I just don't see nick young as an asset on any GOOD team. I watched him play in philly and his numbers were nice and he made it entertaining at times but truthfully we all know on a good team he's a bad shot taker and doesn't play defense very well either. Carter has a ton of more value of we talk about short term. Assuming he's still got something left of course.

When young was on the clippers he was a good player in the playoffs and led the 24 point comeback win against the grizzles who probably still remember that. Carter frankly can shoot threes at this point. Lakers would be happy to keep him but there's a risk of chemistry and if he gets worse but grizzles would take the chance to get a scorer
