I'm looking for an trade idea for a big man who is a center or who can play center that is young but teams probably won't part with them only one that seems realistic
Hornets trade zeller
Lakers trade 2016 second and future second

Hornets have hawes Jefferson kaminsky and hansbrough and zeller could be the odd man out and if they want another big they could take sacre to

Lakers could use a backup big because Tarik black is only 6'9 and is there backup center. If he was taller by 2 inches I wouldn't mind

I would make that trade if I'm LA

i see what your trying to do but why didn't the lakers just draft okafor if they needed a big so bad? I can't understand their thinking with that pick honestly. Clarkson seemed to be playing the pg spot just fine for them. But they still had a huge whole at center. I would of enjoyed seeing Randel and okafor down low for years to come.

Maybe there's a trade with the Sixers that's possible??

Lakers saw Russell with more star potential and okafor and Randle wouldn't be a good fit on defense they aren't good and they both have no jumper yet while clarkson and Russell compliment each other well also I think lakers looked at the free agents this year and next year but failed to get one this year but will certainly try to get one

Theking: Zeller was the 4th pick in the entire draft just 2 years ago. I think char would want a little more back in return. He's only 22, and big men take time. And there's rumors that Hibberts plodding style of play won't fit with LAs more upbeat play with Russel, Clarkson, randle, and of course Kobe. Zeller would be a good get though. What about Henson from the bucks?? Maybe a fit there.

Lucas Nogueira, Center, Raptors. He's your guy.

Lakers trade a 2nd rounder plus Larry Nance, Jr.
Raptors trade Nogueira.

Philly lakers say no because nance and a second isn't worth Lucas yet. Nance is also our best defender so I'd like to keep him unless a good deal shows

Jvong I don't see the Bucks trading Henson considering he will get an extension and is will be a good backup for Parker and Monroe

Tregib:

The Lakers had a need at every position, Russell was the best talent available. His game translates very well to the NBA being a scoring big PG who can shoot 3s and also is an excellent passer and sees the floor better than most do.

Why did the 76ers draft Okafor when they already had Noel & Embiid? At that time, I don't think anybody knew Embiid would be out again for the year.

King, you asked for a guy and I gave you a guy. He was a mid first rounder. He's big and athletic. That's what you asked for. Plus you recognize that teams won't easily give up a guy like this.

If you're not willing to give up a couple of 2nd rounders, then I can't help you. If you want something, you'll have to be willing to give something up. Nance and a 2nd rounder is not over the top.

NLD: I disagree with your premise. You equate the duplication of the Lakers backcourt with the drafting of Russell to the duplication of the Sixers frontcourt by drafting Okafor.

1. The Sixers did know there was a very strong chance Embiid would be out for the year. Even so, they would probably have taken Okafor anyhow and used the 3 bigs in a rotation, 2 at a time for 32 minutes per game.

2. Its much more difficult to get a talented big than a talented small. The Lakers might now know that since they've been able to put attract talented big going back to Kareem, Wilt, etc. The Lakers may not get that chance again to get the talented big high in the draft. They thought they could get one in FA and that turned out to be a mistake. I don't think the Lakers will be a top 3 lottery team so they won't have that chance again for awhile.

3. Because the Sixers had already invested in their talented bigs, getting Russell was a natural fit. Since he wasn't there, they took the best player available.

4. The way you describe Russell above, (a scoring big PG who can shoot 3s and also is an excellent passer and sees the floor better than most do), isn't that how Clarkson's been described on these boards? You didn't need two of those guys at the expense of not taking the big you actually needed, that was right there, and is obviously very talented. On the other hand, Okafor might not prove to be any better than Andrew Bynum during his best years.

Lucas hasn't proven anything yet so I don't think his value should be a mid first round like it was. I'd be willing to trade both Browns and black and nance in any trade. As long as Russell clarkson and Randle are out of it

07 Sep 2015 16:00:09
Philly clarksons game and Russell are different. Russell lacks athleticism whirl clarkson is more explosive than any one thought. Clarkson likes to drive in but doesn't have his three point shot yet but has a good pull up jumper while Russell is a good three point shooter. Both can rebound. Clarkson will play harder than the two. And of course there's difference of passing between the two but you don't need to that Russell could pass the ball like crazy

07 Sep 2015 16:02:48
Lakers also took the approach of thinking they were going to go small ball but turn around and get Hibbert. But free agents are available next year at the center position and they are a good group. Also there were reports of that the Kings would take Russell with the second pick so the lakers took him anyway because they liked him to which could set up a cousins trade mid season or next offseason
