Sixers say no. I'm amusing the pick is the lakers own pick returned to them? If so, Covington, wroten, and the pick for Clarkson(Anderson is to slow to ever be a full time contributing player, but all star d-leaguer) is too much. I like Clarkson, but not going to overpay for him.

What teams have a realistic shot at being worse then the Lakers: Sixers, Denver, Minn, Portland, Charlotte, Sacramento, Dallas, Brooklyn, Knicks. IF the Lakers are better then every single one of those teams, the pick is at #10. More realistically, Lakers pick is in the 5-8 range. The same range Jamal Murray is projected. I'll take my chances with Covington and the pick over Clarkson.

Jvong mavs Hornets kings Portland Nets could all be better and probably will

If lakers pick is 5 then they have a realistic shot at keeping it. Lakers are going to be better than sixers Timberwolves and maybe nuggets. I'll wait and see on the other teams I'm thinking about

Sixers pass. That pick next year is the only hope the team has right now if becoming a contender. Maybe the Miami or Okc pick instead. And even that's a maybe for clarkson who hasn't proven himself yet.

Theking: I agree with you. The list I gave were possible, not probable teams the lakersay finish ahead of. I think realistically, Lakers pick is #5 or 6.

Don't forget the lottery to hopefully lakers get that lottery luck again. Of course I know you guys don't want thay

14 Sep 2015 13:42:43
King, are you saying that your expectation as a Lakers fan for this season is that they finish as around the 5-6 worst team then hope the ping pong balls land them in the the top 3?

And is this a switch in philosophy as far as building the Lakers? I thought the Lakers didn't value draft picks and would build through FA.

Philly I'm pretty sure lakers wouldn't want a horrible season and get a top pick. If they get a top pick they have a chance of potentially adding labbisere or Simmons which could be another building block. I don't have much faith in them this year. As long as the youngsters play well I'll be fine and Kobe doesn't get hurt. If they get the pick it wouldn't surprise me if they traded it

14 Sep 2015 15:29:37
They'll still go after free agents regardless

14 Sep 2015 17:08:13
Who would you rather have: Labbisere/Simmons or Clarkson?

14 Sep 2015 23:24:43
I want to see labbisere and Simmons play in college and then I can tell you

Phily I hope you know that I was saying lakers would b very happy in getting their pick back but won't trade anyone to get it. Kupcheak says they don't have time to build through the draft and keep trading players. If they were to get the pick I can see it getting traded.
