Sixers get julius randle plus eliminating protection of lakers 2016 pick.

Why would the Sixers do this? If the pick doesn't convey this year, Sixers will still have the 1_3 protected pick from the Lakers next year. This makes zero sense for Philly.

This is probably one of the worst trades ever proposed if you step back and think about it. Basically. Randle for okafor and Covington. Classic.

If that pick defaulted into 2nd rounders like some protected picks do you might have a case from dropping protection. This pick has 1-3 protection this year and next then us unprotected completely.
Plus, the way the lottery has been going, even if the lakers are bottom 3, they can be jumped like the Knicks were last year.

Sixers don't do this. I'd do Noel for Randel and the protection removal though. That's a solid return for the lakers for the under performing Randel. I love Randel so I'd give him a shot.

Randle is not underperforming. That is acceptable for basically a rookie in the NBA.

Underperforming? He's not underperforming. It just irks me that some people except immediate success from lakers players or from 19-20 year old rookies.

Randle is under performing. Okafor is over performing. Why do the Sixers give up the best player by far in the deal and and nothing in return? Not a chance from the Sixers with okafor in the deal. Noel is a maybe. Depends on how the rest of the seasons works for Noel.

the king. Under performing by stats mostly. But more froma. Basketball stand point. His jumper is off. Idk why but he's not hitting the shots an undersized big man needs to hit to be effective. Defense has always been a problem. Frankly I think they need Kobe gone and find an identity away from him. Maybe then Randel will get a better chance to succeed. Right now he wat? The fourth or fifth scoring option? Maybe without Kobe he can make a jump. I really don't know for sure but I do know Kobe needs to retire. He's holding back that franchise now and he claimed he would never play if he wasn't a superstar.

He's only 20 years old playing in his first real season almost averaging a double he's working on the jumper which is shaky. Kobe is gone after the year as much as I hate to say it. Okafor is doing better because he's also taking double the shots of Randle per game.
